Gleneagles Hotel in Scotland is a breathtaking countryside retreat that offers a perfect blend of luxury, tradition, and world-class service. Nestled in the stunning Perthshire landscape, this hotel is much more than just a place to stay. It is an entire experience that leaves a lasting impression. From the moment I entered the estate, I felt completely transported to a world where comfort, elegance, and nature all come together in harmony.

The drive through the estate was picturesque, with rolling green hills, elegant gardens, and an air of calm and privacy that’s rare to find. As soon as I stepped into the lobby, the warmth of the staff and the grandeur of the surroundings made it clear that I was in for a special stay. The interiors are tastefully decorated with classic Scottish charm combined with modern touches. Everything feels thoughtfully curated, from the tartan patterns to the soft lighting and comfortable furnishings.

My room was spacious, beautifully furnished, and provided stunning views of the surrounding countryside. The bed was extremely comfortable, the bathroom was luxurious with a large bathtub and walk-in shower, and every detail reflected a high level of care and quality. It felt like a home away from home, but with all the elegance of a five-star resort.

One of the absolute highlights of my stay was the dining experience. Gleneagles is home to several outstanding restaurants, including a Michelin-starred option that delivered a truly unforgettable meal. The food, service, and ambiance were outstanding, and every dish felt like a piece of art. Whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner, each dining experience was filled with flavor and creativity.

Of course, Gleneagles is famous for its golf, and even as a casual player, I could appreciate the sheer quality of the courses. The scenery, the design, and the overall golfing atmosphere were on another level. I also tried the equestrian activities, and the staff were highly trained, making it easy to enjoy even as a beginner. There is something here for every interest, from clay pigeon shooting to spa relaxation and countryside walks.

The spa is another gem of the estate. With a full range of treatments, a beautiful indoor pool, and serene spaces for unwinding, it was the perfect place to relax after a day of activities. The staff here were also excellent, ensuring a smooth and refreshing experience.

Gleneagles is more than just a luxury hotel. It is a destination that offers both adventure and peace, elegance and comfort, excitement and rest. Whether you are a golfer, a foodie, a nature lover, or simply someone looking for a high-end escape from city life, this place has something magical to offer. I am already looking forward to returning.

Amazing hotel and rooms. Reception and concierge staff are friendly and helpful. Has one of the two two-Michelin starred restaurants in all of Scotland, but the Italian-American diner was also nice. Pool and gym are spacious and well-kept. Wide range of activities and beautiful golf courses.

My husband and I wound up a three-week trip through Scotland with a 3-night stay at Gleneagles. It is a fabulous place -- in a picture-perfect setting, beautifully maintained, and with excellent service. We stayed in an estate king in the main house which was spacious, with a separate dressing area, and a huge bathroom with tub, walk-in shower and double sinks. A minor issue with one sink was fixed immediately. ||A bottle of champagne and chocolates greeted us with anniversary (our 50th) wishes and they kindly traded the bubbly (which I cannot drink) for an excellent. bottle of red wine. Housekeeping, provided twice a day, was up to a high standard. The breakfast buffet literally fills a separate room and is the most sumptuous we've ever encountered (and we've traveled quite widely.) We dined at three of the hotel restaurants, including Birnam and Andrew Fairlie and enjoyed excellent meals and service in all. We also spent time at the pool, gym and spa and had top-notch massages. ||We are not golfers but there is so much else to do, including walking/hiking, biking, riding, racquet sports, falconry, and a huge variety of lawn games, to name just some of the activities there. It is unquestionably expensive, but unlike some other properties, you feel you're getting real value for money. We did have a small issue with billing after we'd checked out, and the hotel handled it well in the end, although there was a bit more back-and-forth than seemed necessary for a relatively small error in an otherwise uncontested big bill. ||Overall, though, my husband and I have only high praise for the hotel and especially the staff across the board, from the charming gentlemen at the door (one of whom gave me his coat when I was chilly in the evening!), to those at reception, in the restaurants and shops and housekeeping. Everyone we encountered was friendly, professional and very good at their jobs. We hope to return and just wish it weren't quite so far away!

I can't quite believe how quickly the standards of this hotel have dropped.||Having stayed at the hotel in the past, we always found it to be a pleasant experience however, we will no longer be returning.||Our room which was located in the Braid House. When we checked into the room we were shocked to find that the room looked out at a set of bins in the service yard at the back of the hotel. Out of the other window where the balcony was located, there was an industrial pipe running up the side of it which was rattling and spewing steam out across the balcony rendering it unusable (unless you wanted a face full of steam!). The room looked dated and we also noticed broken glass on the carpet. Not quite how the room is marketed on the website with 'Spectacular Estate Views' and certainly not what you would expect for a room that costs c£1,100 a night!||We phoned down to reception to advise we were not happy and were advised we would have a call back in 5 minutes with a solution. After waiting for 30 minutes and no call we picked up our bags and walked round the hotel back to reception to address the issues again in person. The solution we were given was to be given a double room in the main house - a room which is in a lower category to the one we had booked and costs substantially less. We advised this wasn't acceptable and asked for a full refund.||The duty manager was called across to discuss the issues with me and I was completely taken aback with the completely lack of interest. The gentleman repeated that all they could do was to give us a double room as the hotel was full but the impression I got was that they didn't really care. We duly left the hotel in shock. Once we had left the hotel we went on to the website to see if there were any rooms available and to our surprise there were a number of rooms available in the same category or higher, having just been told that there were none available.||This hotel has gone rapidly downhill. The service and general standards are no longer those that you would expect for a hotel of this nature and it is such a shame to see what was a once great hotel has become.||I would avoid at all costs now.

We had a wonderful stay at Gleneagles with our kids (ages 10, 13 and 15). It is an extraordinary place. Absolutely beautiful grounds and accommodations, really fun and unique activities, terrific food with lots of options, and incredible staff. I can’t think of a hotel that combines luxury so perfectly with a welcoming atmosphere for families. We had a great time with archery, falconry, gundogs, clay shooting and tennis. Just to give a special shout-out again to the staff, they were so warm, gracious, and helpful - thank you for everything! We can’t recommend Gleneagles highly enough.
