We stayed in this fabulous hotel for two nights to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary after reading the glowing reviews of it. We were not disappointed! We stayed in room 20 in the courtyard and the room was large with a lovely shower and a very comfy bed. We found all the staff helpful and efficient. You are warned that there may be residual noise from the outside seating but this ceases at 11PM. It is a very popular hotel with locals and holidaymakers filling the bar and the restaurant so find your spot early! There is a good breakfast choice too! We also ate here one of the nights and the food was very good. We drank a delicious Chenin Blanc at a very good price - much cheaper than we have seen for a long time! We enjoyed historic Topsham itself with its lovely range of shops - such a nice change to see independent shops all busy unlike some High Streets. We will definitely be back as this was good base to visit other places in East Devon. Would highly recommend!

Very friendly and efficient staff. Room was on the ground floor in the courtyard. It was very spacious and the bathroom had a walk in shower. The selection of teas, coffee and biscuits was excellent and all were restocked daily. The food we ate at the hotel was of a high standard and extremely delicious - especially the roast beef which was so tender you could have cut it with a fork. We loved our stay and will definitely return as we not only loved the hotel but also Topsham.

I love visiting The Globe for food at any time of day. The interior is beautiful and nicely decorated. The staff are friendly and provide an efficient, professional service. I recently booked and visited for fathers day, and they were aware of me by name on arrival. The food was delicious and we have a great time. Will be returning regularly.

Just spent 2 days at the hotel & also had our boxer dog with us . Cannot fault it as had a great stay and staff are so friendly and helpful.|The room itself was big with good quality bedding and Elemis products on the bathroom, tea and coffee facilities were good and nice biscuits. Lovely touch in room as had dog bag with dog treats & etc. We had breakfast which also had good selection and great quality. The hotel does not having parking but there was lots of parking local which was £5 a day

Stayed here 2 nights with partner. Rooms were well equipped and clean, excellent shower and nice touches such as nespresso machine etc
The bed was way too soft and felt a little worn but otherwise all great. Had breakfast and dinner out so can’t comment on that but had drinks in bar and staff were lovely and drinks great value.

Nicely appointed rooms, with all amenities needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay||A good service in the restaurant with a wide choice available on the breakfast and dinner menus. A very good service in the bar. Overall a very friendly atmosphere. Food was delicious and good value for money

We had our wedding reception here 35 years ago when the hotel was in private ownership and had the most wonderful day, so when thinking of what to do for our 35th anniversary we thought let’s go back to where it all began The Globe which is now owned by St Austell Brewery, we booked the same room 3 that we spent our wedding night in and dinner with friends and have to say we couldn’t have chosen a better way to celebrate our day, everything about the stay was excellent lovely staff very friendly, excellent food &wine! and lovely room with great facilities. The lovely gesture of a card & bag of goodies was a great touch! Many thanks to all at the Globe for making our day special

Dinner for 4, lovely ambience. One thing sold out on menu, but we found a suitable replacement. Everyone enjoyed meal. Great presentation. Food was served quickly and hot. Service good and attentive. Not pretentious or overly priced. Ideal location for a night out in Topsham. Recommend.
