Great pub hotel and location. Rooms were spacious clean and well appointed. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and the full English was great!||Pub bar had a great atmosphere and sunny terrace out front. Will definitely come back again!

Food awful , long wait. Staff complacent, we’re not at all interested when we complained! Manager just said they had plenty of satisfied customers! Will definitely not return or recommend! Plenty of other excellent places to eat in Leyburn

Situated in Leyburn market square, nice beer garden to the front which catches the sun nicely. Ample seating outside which was full by 5pm. Inside looked nice when visiting toilets.

We had an afternoon Tea for 19 people for the volunteers and Trustees of our dog rescue. Saving Yorkshire’s Dogs excellent service catered for everyone requirements. |Very good value. Lovely sandwiches / cakes and scones. We could not eat everything.

Sad state of affair. Proprietor was miserable. Booked through booking.com, owner moaned that we hadn’t paid enough for the room. Room was below par considering they want £90 per person. Bed uncomfortable and old, sink leaked water, no heating. Avoid this place!

Ordered leek and potato soup with cheese and pickle sandwiches. Also tuna sandwiches for my daughter. The soup was saturated with pepper and one of the the sandwiches had green mould on it. Again one of the tuna sandwiches also green mould. The the bar staff were embarised but gave good service. They gave a refund in cash as the manager was absent for some reason. The problem clearly is on the kitchen and lack of managed supervision. I will not be calling health and safety this time but I will not be returning for food of any kind. However the beer was very good.

This is a very traditional pub in a nice little market town. We were breaking the journey from Newcastle to Baildon and needed somewhere to stop for lunch. We had pleasant baguettes served with salad and crisps. The staff were pleasant and it’s obviously a popular pub.

We have visited this hotel for MANY years (and under several different owners) and we love it. It was actually changing ownership during our visit but our booking was still honoured even though it must have been difficult for the new owners.||We had our favourite room looking over the market place. ||The general location of the hotel is perfect. It is ideal for touring the Dales with many varied attractions close by for those who love history and nature. There are also lovely walks starting from Leyburn, not just the famous Shawl.||At what must have been a difficult time, the staff could not have tried harder to make us feel welcome.||On as many nights as possible, we ate there and had lovely meals on every occasion. We also enjoyed the breakfasts.||Thank you from two sisters who regularly travel from Wales to visit (so not exactly local).
