Booked The Gore for a short stay in London after a wedding in England. Was delighted to find after buying tickets for the Royal Albert Hall that The Gore is literally walking distance from the venue. The room was really pretty although a little small. The service was fantastic. Beautiful location although not super close to restaurants (other than their own) or shopping. Nonetheless it was a beautiful neighborhood and stay, and we found a fantastic pub close by. Breakfast was very good in super pretty room. All public areas are pretty. We will definitely return!

We were attending Swan Lake at the Royal Albert Hall so booked the Gore as a treat. And it was indeed a treat. |It really has the wow factor. It’s a beautiful building and the decor showcases the Victorian interior while it also manages to be quite quirky. |All staff members we met were lovely, welcoming and friendly. George was especially excellent. |We were shown to our grand Miss Fanny suite which had a very unusual bathroom - George gave us a hint to help us find our toilet! ? |We had a quick drink in the bar before leaving for our evening. Again the bar staff couldn’t do enough for us. The Albert Hall is literally around the corner and the hotel is ideally placed for the Natural History Museum and the Victoria and Albert. ||Excellent stay. Thank you.

I stayed at The Gore for my wedding anniversary earlier this month for one night. I have stayed previously and the service is what brought me back. I was delighted to find the service just as good.||We were upgraded to the Tudor Suite which was a lovely gesture from the hotel, we were surprised to know it had its own staircase to the room. The room was Tudor styled and was therefore quite dark however had some lovely period features.||Breakfast is a highlight of the stay. They have a full a la carte menu to choose from. Both our selections were great options. They tasted delicious and were served fresh and warm. ||Outside of this we made excellent use of the library for our drinks upon check in and there is a bar also at the front of the hotel. The hotel is grand with many beautiful features whilst at the same time has such a homely, welcoming feel inside ||The Gore is in a great location. Moments walk from Hyde Park, the Royal Albert Music Hall or just a short walk to the nearest tube station. I would definitely stay again!

Quite disappointed in our stay considering the cost! It’s a beautiful hotel and the location is really the best thing about it, but for the price I found it pretty lacking. We were up in the tiniest attic rooms which is fine really, but noise through the walls was shocking. We all shared our morning alarms up there! Absolutely paper thin. The hot water was really inconsistent: most of the time there wasn’t any. None at all from the tap and the shower was freezing for about ten minutes before things warmed up. The duvet was considerably smaller than the cover itself so not nearly enough blanket to actually cover the bed properly. All small things on their own but together just not good enough for the price. Won’t be saying again that’s for certain.

Lovely staff, good location and decent-ish breakfast. Only downside is the usual weird and Victorian London plumbing so getting a shower is a battle between scorching and freezing. Great bar ?

Friendly and impeccable service, beautiful room and a delicious breakfast. We had dinner in the 190 restaurant on the Friday evening prior to the Promenade Concert. Superb food and more excellent service. This was our third time staying at the Gore and we will certainly be back. Another unforgettable experience and a big thank you to all the staff for making it so special.

Not sure what to say. I enjoyed my stay here. The staff were super respectful, friendly and professional. The rooms were emaculate and the food was good. It's located in South Kensington which is a really lovely and safe area in London

My wife and I were visiting the Bulgarian embassy, situated next door to the Gore. Arriving early we decided to have English tea and we were guided to the library. We waited and waited for the promised service to arrive and after a good 10 minutes we went back to reception to complain. After another 5 minutes a waitress arrive to take our order and another 10 minutes elapsed before it actually arrived. Paying the bill was overly complicated also. Not great service but the team were so very pleasant and the scones were delightful, as was the ‘leafed tea’.||Worth a visit because of the historic value alone and one could easily assume the rooms in the hotel would be opulent. ||We made our appointment and that was a massive plus.
