Spent a magical family Christmas and new year at the Green Lodge in 2024. The house is cosy and well provisioned with good cooking equipment, toys and games for little ones and kit for four-legged friends. The location is wonderful, on the edge of woods and tucked away, but within easy reach of Inverdruie and Rothimurchus, as well as Aviemore.

We were fortunate to spend a few days here in June. Fantastic location- feels secluded but all Aviemore amenities accessible. The lodge itself is equipped with everything you could possibly need for an activity holiday or just a cosy winter retreat. The kitchen is state of the art with all the latest gadgets and the bedrooms are luxurious. Couldn’t fault it !

We loved our trip to The Green Lodge. The lodge and setting are beautiful. We experienced exceptionally high standards of comfort and cleanliness which are very important to us. Much care is taken by Helen the owner to ensure all visitors have a truly wonderful experience. It is easy to see that she really cares and is passionate about this. As a family We have rented many properties over the years and The Green Lodge filled all our expectations and more! It’s so lovely that we are revisiting in June and we highly recommend a visit to anyone considering a short break or holiday.

I can’t recommend a stay at the Greenlodge highly enough! We had a fabulous week there over Easter. Everything about the house is so thoughtfully put together and well-equipped. The kitchen has everything we needed as a family who love to cook - finding sharp knives in a self-catering property is a real rarity and the coffee machine and pizza oven were the icing on the cake. My nephew was very sad to say goodbye to the toys at the end of the week too!

The beds and bedding are wonderful, so comfortable. The many bird feeders with their many visitors (including lots of red squirrels) was always a talking point. The house also has great access to so many trails from the front door.

Helen, the owner, is a joy to deal with. Any questions or problems were dealt with really quickly and help was always available if needed. Greenlodge is a fantastic base for a holiday.

A fantastic family break at the Green Lodge! The beds were very comfortable and the house was really cosy. The weather was unseasonably mild so we didn't need to wrap up warm when going for walks in the woods just behind the house. The coffee machine was AWESOME! And we tried our hand at pizza making, the first couple of attempts were a bit dodgy but by the 5th pizza we'd nailed it! There's definitely a knack and Helen's video was very informative. The house is well equipped and in an unbeatable location, close to everything that Aviemore has to offer and a stone's throw from the Rothiemurcus centre with a farm shop and cafe. The red squirrels came to visit the garden every day we were there and also a beautiful woodpecker. It's a perfect place to stay if you want a little luxury in the gorgeous Cairngorms. Thank you Helen for being such a wonderful host!

The Green Lodge is in a fantastic woodland setting and is such a well equipped luxurious lodge. Close enough to Aviemore main street that you can easily walk into town, but just far enough out of town to still be quiet and peaceful. We loved having our coffee outside in the morning with only the red squirrels for company just a few metres away. The area surrounding is full of great places to visit - and if you do get a sunny day the beach at Loch Morlich is the place to go.

I’m quite picky about holiday cottages and The Green Lodge Aviemore just blew me away. The attention to detail is incredible and OMG the beds are to die for! My friend said she had the best nights sleep in years, and the bedrooms are beautiful and all different. We loved watching the red squirrels in the garden and had masses of fun cooking in the pizza oven. The house is perfectly situated so you don’t need a car to get to the walks and bike rides, and the kids loved having cakes at the Rothiemurchus Cafe.

The Green Lodge was a fantastic place to stay and we will be back for sure! We have stayed in a number of different places in Aviemore over the years, all in a similar price range, and this was by far the best one. It is extremely clean. The sofas and beds were very comfortable. Although it is beside other houses you can't see them from the house so it feels very private and the area is quiet. There are comfy seats in the gardens to watch the birds and red squirrels just a few metres away and a huge picnic bench. There was plenty of wardrobe and shelf space in three of the bedrooms and storage under the bed in the fourth bedroom. So many things are provided - towels, toiletries, fuel for the pizza oven and woodburning stove, there was even a box of 'things you might have forgotten'. It was only a few minutes walk to Rothiemurchus Farm Shop and all the outdoor activities there, maybe 20 minutes walk to the Old Bridge Inn. It is very central for driving to activities, about the same distance to Loch Morlich, Loch Insh and Landmark. There is a path through the woods accessible from the garden so you can take a scenic route to Coylumbridge or Rothiemurchus.
