Went here for a birthday meal and it was absolutely wonderful! The menu had a nice variety and the food was fab! I had the Chinese pork belly which was incredible. Everyone’s food was great. Really nice cosy atmosphere throughout too and the rooms that are part of the property are lovely and cosy too (I didn’t stay, but friends were!). I also noticed when walking back out to my car that there’s an area at the back of the car park for campervans/motorhomes, or atleast I think so as 2 were parked up with their inside lights on! Very handy to know if you want to go out and not worry about taxis/driving home! Will be back!

9 of us went for Saturday lunch, end of January. Rather quiet and friendly reception. When we went there was a limited selection of pub food all at a very reasonable price. Very good value for money.

Stopped by the Harrow Inn in Wandborough, Swindon, and was really impressed. It’s a proper pub with a great atmosphere, especially for those who enjoy watching the football. Plenty of screens, a pool table, and a solid crowd of friendly lads. The staff are welcoming, and the service is spot on.

The pub itself is a stunner—traditional thatched roof, wooden beams, and a cozy fireplace that give it loads of character. There's also plenty of parking, which is always a plus. If you’re looking for a great place to enjoy a few pints, this is it. Highly recommend.

It's with a heavy heart I write this review, The Harrow was a very special pub pre new management with amazing food and atmosphere. Since the new management we had one bad experience but I kept this quiet as it's new and possibly having teething issues. A year later we decided to give it one more go and see if any improvement has been implemented. Unfortunately the answer to this is a no. The Sunday roasts are very underwhelming indeed. Pre made Yorkshire puddings an unloved chunk of pork and some very dubious looking cauliflower cheese not to them mention the deep fried pigs in blankets. The pub is situated in the same village as some 5 star pubs with excellent quality food. It really is a shame but I guess it's hard to live up to what was once a very special place indeed.

My elderly mother knew The Harrow in her younger years, and I thought it would be a nice treat for us to have Sunday lunch. The experience was truly wonderful and made a magical memory for us both. We both ordered the roast beef which was absolutely delicious and generously portioned as was the side dish of cauliflower cheese. I didn’t think we would be able to manage it but we somehow found room for desserts of cheesecake and tiramisu which were also lovely. The service was absolutely excellent, quick and efficient but not in any way making us feel hurried, allowing us to relax in this beautiful old pub. The new landlord and landlady as well as the young lady looking after our table were absolutely charming and treated mum like a queen. As I said, a wonderful experience and we will definitely be coming back to try the other dishes on the menu.

It can always be hit and miss when a local pub is taken over, but the new owners of the Harrow have given it a fantastic refresh - not just aesthetically, but with the fantastic new menu and the friendly welcome. We visited for lunch and ended up being the first to sample the new menu after the reopening the previous night. The menu was simple but impressive, it came in a very reasonable time, and it was all delicious. The new chef has done a great job and everyone in my family really enjoyed the meal. The vibe in the pub was really friendly and the new owners went out of their way to greet everyone who arrived and make sure they were looked after - just how a local pub should be. It definitely didn't feel like we were the first restaurant customers to eat under the new management - we will definitely back to sample more of the menu and enjoy more of the hospitality from the new owners. Great work.
