This was our first visit to the Havelock Hotel this year, where we had a lovely family break & wished it had been longer! We were made to feel so welcome by Paul & Vicky, who made our stay so very comfortable! The hotel is exceptionally clean & decorated beautifully in a naturally modern way & all the staff work very hard. Karen is brilliant in the breakfast room, lovely lady & is so very attentive to everyone’s needs. It was an absolute pleasure to stay here & we will definitely be returning next year!!Thank you for looking after us so very well! See you next year! Love from the Bowers Family xxx

What an absolute fabulous hotel. From the moment we met Vickie & Paul (& the kids) nothing was too much trouble. Room was clean - tidy - and modern. View was STUNNING with the balcony overlooking the sea. (And a fabulous alcove for when chilli)|Even the breakfast was fantastic, freshly cooked - how you like it. |Location wise - Very close to town and beach and restaurants. |Cannot fault. |Even the house keeper made our room look brand new next day. |Fab-blu-us

We stayed here this August (20.24) and had a fabulous holiday. Our super hosts Paul and Vicky and all their team were very welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. Our room, its views the cleanliness were all great. The cooked to order breakfasts, the social times in the bar, the lovely pool couldn’t fault anything. Thank you Paul and Vicky for everything, look forward to see ing you both and your lovely daughters again.|Frances and Graham C

We have just had a wonderful 4 night stay in one of the balcony rooms. The hotel is owned by Paul and Vicky (and Jess!) who are relaxed, welcoming and friendly. The hotel itself is tastefully modern and spotlessly clean with a well stocked bar and great breakfast choice. The room was spacious and light with a huge new shower - something we miss at home! There is plenty of parking and the beach is a 10 minute walk away where you can get fish and chips, doughnuts or play crazy golf but the hill is pretty steep!
We enjoyed lots of places to visit including Butterfly world, Carisbrooke Castle, Osborne House, The Needles, Godshill Model Village and the beach at Ventnor. We ate out at the Black Cat Thai in Shanklin but our best meal of the week was The Folly Inn at Cowes. Definitely worth going there!
Our only very small negative was the lovely large TV in the room had trouble with Catch up and it kept buffering but that's certainly not enough to stop you visiting this lovely hotel. Thanks Guys. We will be back. Xx

We are so glad we found The Havelock....Stayed 3 nights in a sea view balcony room. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean and decorated to a very high standard. There was extra nice touches like LED lights around the TV,digital door lock and quality complimentary toiletries. The owners Paul & Vicky are absolutely lovely, nothing was too much trouble. The grounds are maintained to a very high standard and the outdoor pool was meticulously clean. There was a music system around the pool area which added ambience and a separate seating area.Brand new comfy sun loungers were being put out whilst we were there.Breakfast each morning was lovely, great produce & a veggie breakfast was offered which was very much appreciated. There was a large lounge/bar with comfy sofas, games. The bar was fully stocked and also had Morretti on draught. We loved our stay here and can not wait to return.

Our 3rd consecutive year staying at the Havelock, Paul, Vicky and their team are warm friendly and welcoming, absolutely nothing is too much trouble for them, the Hotel is spotlessly clean top to bottom and breakfast choice and presentation is superb, the hotel has safe parking and is positioned only a few minutes walk to the sea front, old village and Regent Street. Paul and Vicky are doing a fantastic job since taking over continuously improving year on year, we have booked for summer 2025 already and very much looking forward to see what else they will have done, although it is hard to improve on the very high standard that it already is! Great couple, great job!

Friendly, well run hotel in the perfect location in Shanklin. Very close to the Chine and access to the sea front as well as the Old Town. Good options on restaurants nearby. |Paul and his wife Vicki encourage a holiday atmosphere where the lounge and bar area seems the place to meet. |The hotel is clean, tidy and well appointed.|We, my wife and I, older generation, found the Island was full of places of interest with picturesque bays and beaches with good roads and bus service.|A place to return to, if I have a criticism some places appeared a little tired and in need of a little tlc!|Prior to arriving I went on the Waverley Paddle Steamer trip round the Island, well worth doing.

Very clean and lovely hotel, friendly owners and staff, excellent breakfast, great location for beach and restaurants in the village. Nice pool area which is a great sun trap and place to sit when returning from a trip out. Can highly recommend and would definitley return if current owners still there.
