What a hidden gem! Beautiful old building converted into a pub, even has a thatched roof! Stayed for a week and loved our room and en-suite. Spotlessly clean, so comfy. Staff were all fabulous and breakfast was beautiful. Perfect place to stay to catch up my family. Will definitely be staying here again.

Great pub, lovely atmosphere, quiet, very good dinner, smiling and welcoming staff. Good bedrooms - simple, but comfortable and an amazing breakfast. Dion was great. But all the staff were fun and friendly. |We were staying for a1wedding close by and all thoroughly enjoyed it and would go back if in that part of the world again.

Smashing place. Well worth staying here if you are visiting the vicinity. Staff are very helpful and kind. Food is very good and reasonably priced.
The beds are very comfortable, and the ensuite was well laid out and well planned.
Would definitely stay again if we return to this area.
Easy parking as well.

I went for a birthday meal recently with my family. We were greeted by a young server who led us to our table & took our drinks order. He promptly returned with our drinks & then returned a few minutes later & asked if we were ready to order. He diligently took all our orders, making sure he had written it down correctly. Although it was a Friday night & it was busy, we didn't have to wait very long for our meals. The food was outstanding & the atmosphere was lovely. The two servers who attended to us were exceptional - very polite & engaging. We will definitely be returning

Perfect ovn stop from south coast to Cornwall. Friendly staff, very clean, well equiped rooms , character, lively pub. Fast food service and vegetarian, gluten free options available. Good value for money. We will return on our next journey. Booking direct by phone if you have special requests advised.

Booked a table of 10 for Sunday lunch, our waiter was excellent, drinks order taken quickly, followed by food order. We all opted for roast (Beef, lamb & pork), all were delicious served with roast potato’s (cooked properly), roasted vegetables, creamy leeks, Yorkshire pudding & even more steamed vegetables. Another nice touch was a jug full of extra super hot gravy. Can highly recommend and will be back again.

The hotel looks good from outside, but inside it is in need of refurbishment.
The breakfast was cooked to order, but the quality of the food was not good.
The staff were friendly, and the bar was well-stocked.

We were very lucky to have our Christmas lunch here yesterday. The whole event was fantastic from the start to finish. Lovely friendly staff greeted us and showed us to our table and we were well looked after. All of the food was superb, brilliantly cooked, well seasoned with a variety of vegetables and all dishes had good sized portions (had loads of turkey). The cheese board (see photo) was particularly generous! Overall a wonderful day and I can't thank the Heathfield team enough for a great day and we have rebooked for next year! 🙂
