We just had the most fantastic Sunday roast today and it was amazing! The best pub roast dinner I have had in a very long time! We had our friends with us who are both vegan, and they accommodated this so well, and went above and beyond with making sure they still had a very tasty roast! An all in all a pretty perfect visit 👏👏

Driven so many times to Cambridge via Six Mile Bottom to Stow cum Quy always passing a sign that says “The Hole in the Wall”. We had to go to Adenbrokes Hospital visiting, when we had finished we fancied something to drink and eat. Decided on the spur of the moment to go to the Hole in the Wall. On arriving parked easily and went into the bar, very friendly welcome and excellent service, given menu and decided on our food. Nothing was too much trouble and could mix and match some of the menu. When our starters were ready we were shown to our table. Gaywin our waiter made us feel very comfortable and brought drinks in and starters. I had the Lamb curry, the last lamb curry I had was at the Curry Room in the Ruben’s at the Palace London and I must say this was presented and tasted on Par or even slightly better! We both could not rate this experience any higher. Bar staff, waiter Gaywin and the chef’s “Hats off to you” Thanks again awesome experience.

Food was impeccable, service fantastic and well priced, especially for what you get. The presentation of food is remarkable as well. I'd go out on a limb and say it is the best sunday roast I have had. Will definitely be back.

We stopped here for dinner with our kids (aged 1 and 7) and had the most awesome food! There is a good kids menu and the baby gobbled up his pasta, and the 7 year old declared his sausages and mash one of the best meals of his life! The grown up food was incredible too, and friendly service and lovely atmosphere.

Our visit to The Hole in the Wall was nothing short of extraordinary! From start to finish, the entire experience was impeccable. We enjoyed a three course meal—starter, main, and dessert—and every single dish was a masterpiece. The flavours were exquisite, and the presentation was flawless.

The service, however, truly set this place apart. We’ve travelled extensively, but this was by far the best dining experience we’ve ever had. Gaywin, our server, was phenomenal—an absolute gem. His politeness, professionalism, and genuine kindness made us feel so welcomed and cared for. He is a credit to the restaurant.

Coming from Ireland, we’ve had our share of fantastic hospitality, but The Hole in the Wall has raised the bar. Outstanding food, exceptional service, and an unforgettable evening. We cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Having visited The Hole in the Wall with family and friends from Ireland, we couldn’t have chosen a better place to stop. The staff were outstanding, especially Gawin. His kindness, genuine passion for his work, and excellent communication skills were truly remarkable. The food was phenomenal, and we couldn’t have found a better restaurant to visit. We came for a late lunch yesterday. The food was very nice but the service was extremely slow. When we arrived there were 3 other tables, these all left whilst we were eating our mains. It took a very long time for the waiter to clear our plates and ask if we wanted dessert. We found the menus ourselves whilst waiting for our plates to be cleared so we could order dessert asap! It also took a while after finishing dessert for someone to clear our plates again and for us to get the bill. The food itself was very delicious and big portions
