We stayed at the Horngarth for 1 night in the apartment. It was absolutely lovely, had everything you needed. There was even fresh orange, milk, biscuits, crisps and popcorn left for us. We will definitely be back k the views of the Abby are fantastic and Emma was always on hand if needed. Brilliant place to stay xx

These rooms are a little gem. Emma and Anthony could not have been more informative before our arrival o ensure we had lots of information about parking and places to eat. |We stayed in room 6 which was of outstanding quality. The room was extremely comfortable with a large 4 poster bed. The en-suite was modern and clean with everything you needed for a short stay. The room also has a stunning g view of the abbey and looks out over the sea. What really made the stay special was the nice little touches that come with the room. We had slippers and dressing gowns, milk, fresh orange juice and lemonade in the fridge, along with a couple of snacks and sweets plus some cereal. These small details gave a sense of personal touch from the owners. |Location is superb with places to et and drink just over the road. |All in all it was a lovely stay and we will definitely be back to stay again.

Had a lovely stay here with my husband for our anniversary. We booked direct and told them it was for our anniversary, they were lovely and got a little gift for our room. It is unmanned but that didn't take away from the level of customer service provided. They have provided a great selection of what you might need during your stay: hairdryer, straighteners, a selection of hot drinks, toiletries... I could go on. And the owners were available to text if we needed anything.|The hotel is really close to Whitby town, super convenient.|We staid if room 3, it was super cozy and comfortable. The shower was amazing too.|We really enjoyed our stay and we are excited to visit again.

Excellent location, very central to everything.|The room was lovely and had everything you would need for a weekend away. A fully stocked fridge with water, orange juice and fresh milk. The room and bathroom were very clean without a spot of dirt in sight. The owners were in their shop downstairs if you needed anything. This will definitely be our go-to place next time we visit Whitby. |The shop downstairs is worth a visit on its' own, with all the different kinds of sweets available, and if you like liquorice, this would be a dream come true.

We had a fantastic stay at The Horngarth. The room had everything we needed and more and to top it off the views of Whitby and the abbey were stunning. We’ll definitely be back. Thanks to Emma and Anthony for such a lovely stay.

By far the best place I've ever stayed in Whitby and there aren't many places left in Whitby that I haven't stayed as I'm there at least once every 2 months.|The rooms are immaculate and very stylishly decorated. The bed was the most comfy bed.|The thing that puts this place above all the others is the view. I stayed in room 4 and the views were magnificent! I couldn't believe it when I went over to the window and saw the Abbey, the 199 stairs, the church, the graveyard and the sea through one window 🪟 and the four poster bed faced the view so it was the first thing you saw when you woke in the morning. The little touches were an added bonus, a proper bottle of milk (glass bottle) and fresh orange in the fridge with snacks left in a Horngarth tote bag. A jar of sweets on the bedside table and a massive range of beverages.|Emma & Anthony should be winning awards for their rooms and also their hosting. The communication from booking to leaving is like no other, very pleasant and welcoming. |If you want to treat yourself or a special person this is the place to book! Magical 😊

This was our fourth visit to The Horngarth. This visit was in the Apartment, lots of space, excellent views of the Abbey, a well equipped kitchen and dining area. Everywhere is spotless and lots of ‘extras’ are provided including a parking permit which means parking is easy when the town is busy, we parked the car and forgot it for our stay. Everywhere was within walking distance. Fresh milk, orange juice, snacks and sweet treats are all provided. Emma and Antony are lovely they make life very easy for guests. Excellent communicators, friendly, available and happy to discuss places to visit and eat. A new venture this year is the opening of their shop the Pot and Pineapple next door. They sell a range of British made gifts all of excellent quality, specialist chocolate and for any liquorice fans they sell every conceivable flavour. If you think you don’t like liquorice they will persuade you otherwise! You can buy an excellent coffee or an outstanding Gelato produced locally. As a resident you also get a discount so you can start your Xmas shopping!!|Top class luxury accommodation with delightful hosts.

Perfect accommodation ! I had the pleasure in staying at The Horngarth for a friends birthday celebration. The very first thing you notice on entering the room was how spotless everything is set up. Lots of little details which just add to the experience of Quality. The little things provided do not go unnoticed. The location was perfect too.
