We stayed in the ground floor of the vine house across the road from the main building. The room was nice with some lovely period features. Pillows were a bit too soft for my liking but still had a decent night sleep. We only stayed for one night so didn’t experience everything the venue had to offer. The dinner and breakfast was nice and the service was excellent, particularly Kylah the receptionist who was extremely friendly and helpful!

My husband and I stayed one night on a Sunday with a dinner bed and breakfast package. Reception team were warm and accommodating, bar and restaurant staff personable and relaxed. Food was of a high standard but compared to other establishments on the pricey side. Bar prices are high and mini bar for example a chocolate bar cost us £5.
Nice touches such as the cinema was a fun touch after dinner. Sadly the spa was closed on our dates. Very dog friendly, we would take ours along if there is a next time. Great place for a treat!

Always love The Hoste. Have been guests there on many occasions. This time, the rooms were lovely and clean as usual and very welcoming. Love the little touch of the brownies on arrival and fresh milk in the fridge. Could not fault the room. We did not have such a positive experience in the restaurant. It was a little chaotic over dinner with one of our main meals arriving during the starter. The food was mixed to be honest - I would say not as good as we were hoping for, as it was not inexpensive. I will return but would think about having dinner somewhere else.

We love the location and atmosphere of this pub/hotel, parking is free, some trees bordering part of the rear of pub car park will drip sap over your vehicle. Clinton made sure our planned event went very smoothly. Receptionist Jamie was very pleasant, very helpful and understanding, nothing too much trouble. Our stay consisted of a large business lunch party with close colleagues, evening meal with a few close colleagues, and an overnight stay. Acer was one of our main servers at the bar and restaurants throughout, working hard and again nothing too much trouble, clear to see all staff worked hard to make our stay memorable including a well packaged takeaway early (6am) breakfast! We are regular customers and can recommend staying here and definitely recommend the restaurant/bar dining whether inside or outside rear, side or front of pub, enjoy!

A second vist to hoste was worth it. We were looked after by Acer. Friendly and professional. He knew his menu and managed all the customers really well. Attentive but not intrusive. Meal was lovely. Pork belly was melting and the bavette very tasty.

at the recommendation of our friends we stayed two nights at The Hoste. our divine double room in The Vine was very quiet and overlooked a peaceful residential setting. The superking bed was comfy and it was great to have two sinks in the bathroom. The overhead toilet tank took a while to refill - the price for old fashioned plumbing. Unfortunately the air conditioning unit did not work but the hotel put a Dyson fan in the room and with the windows open it was a pleasant temperature for sleeping at night. Dinner was good as were the breakfasts and the service friendly and welcoming. we would stay again. The Vine is much quieter than the main hotel block

Very warm welcome from the reception staff for our extended weekend stay. Very pleased with our room which was spacious and had everything we needed - including air conditioning given the ambient temperature outside of 29 degrees. Breakfast was excellent too!

We had a lovely 3 night stay at The Hoste. Our room was perfect and the staff were some of the most professional I have ever met. The restaurant manager picked up that we were not happy with our table (due to a large, rather raucous table drowning out any conversation at our table of 7 people). She immediately offered to move us to a table away from the noise. We were then able to enjoy the rest of our evening. The staff definitely shine in this hotel!
