The front desk staff was great. Very helpful and friendly. The room was small but well appointed. The platform bed mattress could have been more firm. The restaurant staff was a bit slow but the breakfast food was adequate except the pancakes. That said, I will note that in my experience I have yet to find a good pancake in Europe. The Shoreditch area was great! Good restaurants nearby and lots to do.

My partner and I came a few weeks ago and honestly had the loveliest service at reception check us in! It was a bubbly girl called Lyndsay. We had a good old natter before we went up to our room, which we thought was nice and cosy. We came down for some cocktails and lyndsay even recommended certain ones she thought we’d enjoy, she was just a breath of fresh air! Yummy cocktails too and we very much liked the atmosphere. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Rooms are what they are but clean and modern. Staff was accommodating in every way and we felt very welcomed. Convenient to underground line that goes just about everywhere directly that a tourist might want to go. Coffee shops, restaurants and a great store with tons of pre-packaged and fresh food items just across the road. special thank you to the night reception team Tejas and others for sorting our TV and AC out as we were having some issues setting these up

Rooms are small but very well appointed. Mattresses are a bit soft and pillows need replacing.

Location is excellent and the staff are fantastic.

Book here if you plan on being out and about all day, it’s not a luxury hotel, very utilitarian - but the price is excellent for what you get.

Good place to stay at if you like to work out of hotels or to party. They have everything organised neatly on the ground floor where you can work during the day in an open co-working environment during the day and have drinks and party in the night. There's a decent DJ floor jamming up in the evening.

Really dissapointed I'm afraid. We have been staying since 2006, on and off. This was our last time though. Room was mostly OK, though tired. Bed was comfy though. But the food / bar offering was rubbish. Evening meals in the main restaurant are basically posh KFC, however 'fast' food it isn't as the service was slow.. Breakfast is basically a choice of eggs and bread. We gave up and ate elsewhere for the rest of our stay.||But by far the worst aspect was the bar being turned into a techno / trance nightclub on the Thursday and Friday evenings. On the Friday the loud music continued until midnight, and kept us awake even though we were on the third floor. That was the final straw, the camel's back is now broken.||So goodbye Hoxton hotel, got some good memories, but it's over between us.

This place has a certain vibe that is probably great for some people, but not so much for me. Retro radios, insufficient lighting, neon red signs in the room… you get the idea. ||On arrival fairly late, after a long flight, I was given room 626. It was so dark in the room (with all available lights turned on) I could barely see to unpack. Then I noticed a constant noise from above, along with vibrations - clearly some sort of machine noise. Around 11.30pm I called and asked to switch rooms. I was told none were available as they were fully booked, but advised it was the air con units above me making the noise, and there was nothing they could do.||When I asked again at 9.30am (after a bad nights sleep), there was somehow a vacant, cleaned room ready for me to move into. This was much nicer and brighter, but I don’t see how it was not available the night before. It feels like it absolutely was, but for whatever reason they decided to have me suffer through a bad nights sleep anyway. ||Not ideal, and no compensation of any sort was offered, although I was there for a further 2 nights.

Let down by its staff and simple mistakes. Staff in reception is more focused on each other than the guests, acting quite nonchalant and on the verge of being rude. Also, no one ever asks how your stay is/was. Rooms are definitely OK, but could be better with small upgrades. For example, glass doors with big gaps to the restroom is perfect if you hate any privacy while on the toilet. Why? I get it is a design thing but come on. Location is great though and nice bar and breakfast area.
