The motorway had a huge delay so we took a detour and were very pleased we did.
Lovely pub! Great food and very friendly staff. Dog friendly. Spacious garden too.

Stopped at The Huntsman for food on the way back from Slimbridge before hitting the M5.
The food was really good quality, had the fish and chips. The service was great, team were very friendly.

We love visiting here in the winter due to a beautiful real fire in the centre of the pub & we always try and get a table by the fire. The staff are all really friendly, welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend the hunters chicken and rump steak. If you have room left the deserts are delicious. Don't forget to check out the specials board

We stopped here en route to a local destination, the idea being to have a decent meal before we arrived.
I picked this place, due to ease of finding, right on the A38, good parking for mobility issues, and on our way.
What we got was a great traditional, traveller's pub, very helpful and friendly staff, all matched by a good choice of food for everyone, including vegan, that was very tasty, fairly priced and served in a timley manner.
The room is huge, with space between table and chairs, and very comfortable to sit in for dining.
If we pass here again, we'll definitely return.

We dinned in here this afternoon on the way back from Gloucester and were glad we did. The food was delicious all 4 mains and 4 puddings. The service was amazing, we were greeted on our way in and every staff member were kind and warming. We enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back if we’re ever in the area again ☺️

Absolutely disgusting food
Would not recommend to anyone
Well over priced and I have never seen a prawn cocktail look so sloppy with brown salad and drenched in butter
Didn’t think I could go wrong with ordering a burger how wrong could I have been it was horrendous
Staff were rude
Would never visit this place ever again
Wish I took photos to show u all
