Now called The Inn on The Green. Wonderful country pub with rooms. We stayed for 2 nights to attend a family wedding - when we arrived we ordered a few starters to keep us going until dinner - wow, we were blown away - the smoked salmon had blobs of yummyness which I think was pickled cucumber gel - we also had the mackerel pate which was just delicious! There was a small issue with our room and the marvellous Mallory went out of her way to sort it out for us - we decided to upgrade to the suite which was really lovely and had the most enormous bath!! It’s an old building so expect the odd imperfection but all in all the rooms are well thought out, very clean and comfortable. Dinner was delicious and the service lead again by Mallory was exceptional. We will definitely return - can’t wait!

Just come back from a 2 night stay ...this place is a hidden gem! We stayed in the Berkshire suite, very nice and comfortable. The HUGE bath is a bit of a gimmick, even though was very nice, the dispensers for body wash and shampoo on the wall are a bit of a stretch from bath and I was frightened of slipping as I was reaching over. The pool area is very nice, towels are supplied, the grounds are very well kept, however I feel that the tables could be have been wiped down each night. We arrived on Sunday and left on Tuesday, by which time we noticed the pool needed cleaning, as it was very hot, you could see film of sun cream and debris in pool but I'm sure they would clean this out every couple of days? Overall our stay was very enjoyable and would defo recommend

Went with my family for a birthday celebration! The service was very professional, Phoebe was a top class waitress, very friendly and chatty and all round lovely girl. Food was incredible! Big portions, so presentable and tasty! We all ordered different food, and each selection was enjoyed by all. Great atmosphere, parking was easy. Highly recommend

I stayed two nights at the Sanctum on the Green, having a private gettaway to complete some work and chill. The place is hospitable and the service was great. The room was lovely and clean. The food was delicious. The pool was warm and the sun shone making it a real treat. The gardens are lovely and the surrounding countryside is beautiful for walks. I accidentally left my phone charger in my room when I left and they posted it to me.

Stopped here for lunch. Beautiful sunny day, the pool looked great ~ they do an offer for 2 course lunch and 2 hours of pool and sun lounger use for £40 per person ~ if the weather is good it sounds like a good offer. We had mushrooms on toast in the courtyard. It was very good. Staff were great, very helpful. Good sized car park. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

Having avoided the Sanctum for a number of years as it had lost its way I was intrigued to return having received lots of positive reviews from friends. It was really super. A lot of effort has been put into changing the signage and refreshing both indoors and the pretty fairy lit garden. It really was a fabulous evening. Gorgeous starters -arancini and scotch egg followed by risotto. Menu is varied and interesting. Let down only by key lime pie - pastry not good at all but extra marks for obviously being home made. Will definitely return before too long and great to see The Inn on The Green has bounced back to life!

We just visited for a family birthday. The food was stunning. I had the best roast beef lunch I’ve had for a very long time, followed up with a tasty Pina Colada themed dessert. Everyone in our group enjoyed their own food just as much. Really impressed.

We had one of the best stays we’ve ever had here. The place was lovely anyway but all the staff there really made it special, especially Becky she always went above and beyond for us and made sure we were okay. The rooms are lovely and we had dinner there too which was really good food and drink. We will definitely be back again!
