Great restaurant, proper home cooking with excellent service. Breakfast also very good. The room was cosy and warm and a good size. The bathroom was also nice with a decent shower. All was very clean. Only improvement to suggest is the bed which was too soft and the mattress rather thin. The bed was also very low down. All in all excellent value for money and we would definitely stay again as it was very convenient for the NEC.

Absolutely wonderful stay. We had a lovely room, clean and spacious with a nice comfortable bed. The food was excellent, we have eaten here a few times now and can't find fault. Breakfast is substantial and looks as good as it tastes. Staff are helpful and polite, great atmosphere in the bar area. The new management have certainly got it right!!

Was at an event today at the Jacobean hotel and the service was excellent. The food provided at lunch was lovely, great selection, and plenty of it. It was clean, and clearly the staff had make a concerted effort in the preparation. Everyone was happy and I would not hesitate in recommending to others 🙂

Family meal in the restaurant. Bar was very loud and spoilt the atmosphere of the lovely restaurant. |Service was great. Food when it arrived was very tasty however it seemed a long wait. Curry needs more chicken but very flavoursome. |Puddings were lovely but not as described on the menu!|Changed ÂŖ4 for 3 tiny pieces of flatbread which seemed excessive.

Just stayed here for a couple of days midweek. I've been a regular customer for a few years and never had a bad experience. Love the charm of the hotel and the location with ample parking is really useful when I use the airport. Breakfast was excellent and the staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and spacious with regular room service. I stayed in 37 which overlooked the gardens so a nice view as well. One suggestion is that you have the option to reuse towels as they were changed each day, as I normally don't bother if it's just a short stay. I'll be back in future . Obligatory pic of brekkie.

We booked for Christmas Day lunch. The menu was odd without a turkey option. That said we decided to give the alternative menu a try. ||The service was poor. Not the fault of the waiting staff. It was clearly an issue in the kitchen. We arrived at 12.15. Starters came out after an hour. Main course came out at 14.10 and some of the dishes were cold. Veg options were awful. We advised that we had a taxi arriving at 2.30 for an elderly relative so was not able to stay for dessert and coffee. ||I will never be returning. A very disappointing experience for Christmas Day. Definitely not worth the ÂŖÂŖ.
