Unfortunately unable to review accomodation,food or service as we were double booked. Apparently landlords wife responsible for this so she was summoned. Landlord then completely ignored us and didnt even offer us a seat let alone an apology, this was left to his wife. She didnt seem well and was apparently in hospital at the time of our booking. She went away, 20 mins later produced £140 to cover the cost at premier inn who had ample availability and she had phoned them. Premier Inn denied any phone calls from Helen. They had one room which went whilst we were trying to book it. Plenty of certificates of awards, shame they are so old and tatty like the pub. I hate being lied to but rudeness, lies and facing a night in the car...
Dont book here, disgraceful performance. Tired and niaive, should have insisted they booked it in front of us! Took the edge off Bath Christmas market tbh!

This is a rustic, traditional pub. We had evening dinner which was tasty and reasonably priced.
It was fairly quiet (we didn't book) but this was mid-week.
A recommended secluded evening out.

Absolutely fantastic pub. Great beers and stunning food. Service and atmosphere are absolutely first class. This is a must visit . Prices are also very reasonable.

TV didn't work, lock to door was wonky, bathroom fan whining.... Old and tired decor but good value for the room price. Food was adequate, (but overpriced) and chips tasted like they came out of a frozen packet. Grumpy landlord but he was short staffed so that's probably why 😁

Had a lovely stay here over the weekend.
The room was very clean and spacious.

Parking on site for guests' location stunning.

Full English breakfast was delicious.

There was a power cut when we stayed but it didn't detract from the stay and was beyond the owners control.

Would recommend this as a place to stay.

Great value for the price.

Rooms had kettles and hot drink accessories. Fresh beading and clean towels. WiFi and a TV in rooms.

Not having power made the stay a little better because we all got a real good sleep power came on sometime in the night.

If I could say that if the power going out is a location thing maybe a small battery operated light for the rooms in case of emergency would be a plus . Or a note to guest upon booking to bring something.
But that's only if powercuts are a thing for the area.

I have visited The Jolly Huntsman Inn many times over the years, it was our 'go-to' place for food and drink when visiting relatives in the village, and is still a good choice today. We both had a really nice meal, the bar and serving staff were very attentive and efficient. I would definitely recommend! Beware of parking though, you may have to park on the road and walk but it's not far at all.

Recently stayed for a couple of nights with family across 3 rooms - very comfortable stay. Rooms are a little tired but warm and welcoming. Service is absolutely brilliant - great food and friendly, helpful staff. Excellent value for money and highly recommend staying here.
