The service is very bad. We contacted them based on checking in at eleven o'clock. We arrived and did not find anyone there. I do not recommend it at all.

This place is lucky to even get one star from me got there was supposed to have an email with the code for the keys didn’t get that. When I got through the door the place stank of weed and keeping in mind I have a toddler. Trying to get hold of someone to even acknowledge any of this is a joke. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy

Friendly staff, though I have only started visiting this pub this year. Multiple big TVs showing sport (dog racing when I visited one wet evening recently).

Handy that there's a bus stop outside, for buses to the Bus station at Washington Parade, and I bet some customers may pop in after a train journey returning to New Strand from the city...

The staff are nice here. When I checked in (which you do at the bar), the lady was on it straightway and gave me the details for the key safe for my keys and internet code etc.||When I returned to the bar they asked about the heating and I said it was a bit chilly so they sent someone straightaway to turn it up, which was appreciated.||||The room was clean enough and had everything that you would need for an overnight stay. Although there are shared shower and toilet facilities, which when you need the toilet at 5am, you have to go out to the corridor and landing area for the loo, so had to get dressed.||There was an issue with the noise though, the window was single pane so the traffic kept me up, then in the morning woke me up really early, and there is also a bus stop to the front of the place. So I only had just over four hours uninterrupted sleep.||||There is complimentary tea, coffee and bottled water, clean towels.||||You can’t park there as they have no parking so I did end up spending quite a bit to park my car in a multi-storey car park, which was a bit of a pain, as you can’t buy in advance for the next day, so at 06:45 I was walking in the dark and rain to buy a new ticket for the following day so I didn’t get a parking-ticket. Not ideal at all.

We stayed here for one night mid week. The room was great, nice and clean. The two toilet and shower rooms were also spotlessly clean. The staff were great and friendly, they couldn't do enough for you. We would definitely stay again as it wasn't too far out of the town centre. The only downfall was that there isn't any parking for the pub itself, there are car parks very close by, and the owner showed us a road to park in which wasn't too far to walk. Overall a great place.

pub underneath with either karaoke or a really terrible singer who goes on well after midnight and literally screams. Inconsiderate of them to advertise rooms when they just cash grab if they’re gonna scream down the mic so late. Also when advertised they don’t even inform us of any events going on at the pub or any live singing etc.

To be fair, maybe it was the other guests that played the main factor, but the place wasn't cleaned very well. We stayed there for 4 days and each day there were used towels over the communal bathroom floors. The other guests didn't clean up after themselves and neither did the staff? Wait there wasn't a staff. The only time I saw a staff member was when I complained about the cleanliness and the lack of toilet paper.

This next statement has nothing to do with other guests.... this place is above a bar/pub so it's very loud. Very loud. Apparently they have karaoke nights on Saturday night. I'm sure it's fun but not when you're trying to rest after a long day of exploring the city.

Bed and Breakfast? Nope, just a bed. Maybe it's my misconception of a bed and breakfast, but I thought someone would be there to provide breakfast. Again, no one cleaned so no one cooked breakfast either.

The place is located in a run down part of town. There's not much there to be seen, so you will have to get a ride into Liverpool to see any variety of restaurants.
