We were given a very warm welcome at 'The Kings Arms' and all the staff were attentive throughout, ensuring that we enjoyed our three days stay in their delightful hotel. There is an elegant restaurant which has a lovely, relaxed atmosphere in which the service couldn't have been better. The full English breakfasts were delicious, and the evening meals were so tasty that we decided to eat in every night... a first for us. Thank you everyone!|The location is super - in the historic part of Christchurch and close to shops. Across the road there is a lovely walk alongside the river to the picturesque quay. |This hotel was recommended to us, and we shall be recommending it too.

Stayed for a couple of nights for my birthday at the end of August. Great spot in the heart of town. Lovely, comfortable room. Free parking across the road but on one occasion we had to park behind the Hotel in their own courtyard which was a couple of minutes drive to get to. So lucky with the weather and theres a pleasant walk along the river across the road. Breakfast was continental with additional costs for an English cooked breakfast but we discovered that smoked salmon & sour bread toast where included which was great & amble for us. Friendly staff. We ate in the Hotel our 1st night - fish & chips and a nice steak which was perfect. Definitely recommend !

Had a really wonderful 3-night stay. The staff were excellent - nothing was too much trouble. Great dinner and breakfast. A lovely location very close to the Prior and the High Street. Some lovely gentle walks down to the river Stour. Will definitely stay again.

We held a Corporate Day and Evening last Friday. It was brilliant, Chamane went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with everything prior to the event and Dean was an absolute delight when helping us all day and nothing was too much trouble. The service was fantastic! We had some dairy free/vegans with us and they ensured they had oat milk and some additional treats for them.||We had some colleagues stay at the hotel, who all said the beds were ridiculously comfortable!

We got married at the Kings Arms in July this year with Chamane as our planner. We really could not have asked for a better or more wonderfully organised day. The team were incredible, it was so easy to show up and enjoy ourselves, they did everything for us and we are so grateful for all our wonderful memories. We planned our wedding here from overseas, and booked it before even seeing the venue in real life. The team helped us with a virtual tour and took so much off our plate, they are truly experts at weddings. The venue itself - wow. Amazing places for pictures, beautiful hotel rooms and the scenery around where it is located is stunning. Thank you to Chamane and all your colleagues at the Kings Arms!

A review of our wedding on 29th September2024 at The Kings Arms Hotel, Christchurch.||||I am writing to share comment on the services we received at the Kings during the planning and delivery of our wedding day.||||I have to state, we had 3 wedding planners in the course of the time we were planning which did make me feel a little unsure due to the rapid changes.||||We chose the venue due to our links with Christchurch, so it was never up for debate.||Our first two planners were great, but both moved on and then Sophie was allocated to us, or us to her, and she was very kind and was responsive to emails and when we met, she was able to agree our wishes and we had no issues at all.||||We had an afternoon tea in July to bring family together and this was incredible, and a commendation needs to go to Charlotte who took care of our family that day, I know that afternoon tea midweek isn’t usually delivered but we were able to arrange this, and she took care of us with such kindness and grace.||||Sophie managed all the communications well until the day we checked in and found she was off sick. My heart sunk a little, I felt pressure to ensure our guests had a great day. I hope she is better now.||||This was the point that we were introduced to Dean, he took such good care of us, and nothing was too much trouble, the only minor issue was parking, but this resolved when the previous days wedding guests checked out.||||Dean’s attention to detail did not go unnoticed and was raised by many of our guests, his quiet efficiency was superb, and his awareness of how things needed to run on the day was incredible. Having forgotten to print the speeches, he made sure these were sorted and with relevant parties, he also made sure we had drinks during our getting ready phase, the details made the day.||||A special thank you to Dan, our Barman that night who made an incredible number of cocktails and who was the last person we saw that day, a bright young man who made you feel you had been looked after, so a big thank you to Dean and Dan.||||I could go on, we had the perfect day, and Dean, Dan, Jan (our wine man), Sophie, Charlotte, Chamane and the rest of the Kings Team worked in such a way that although they undoubtedly had a number of guests and events / functions to think about, they make you feel like you are the only one.||||Our breakfast with 20 of our guests the next morning was also fabulous and a great room to use all together.||||Plus, lastly, but in no way least, a nod to the Chef who made ‘red’ changes to each of our dishes and even agreed to provide a Tiramisu for one of our guests who grades his Tiramisu desserts as he travels around the world. Needless to say it scored highly.||||I can’t commend the staff enough and want to send our thanks and best wishes to them for making our day run with such ease and efficiency, if their commitment to delivering such high service can be celebrated in anyway by the Harbour group it would be most deserved. ||||Thanks again,||||Mr and Mrs Crisp <3
