What a great hidden gem this place is!! Food was delicious, service excellent with a great atmosphere. We stayed one night, the room was spacious, bed comfortable and don’t be put off by the ‘continental style breakfast’ I’m normally a full English type customer but the spread was plentiful and very tasty. Definitely would stay again!

Went for a Friday night dinner, and the food was exceptional. The game pie was just a meaty delight….unfortunately we didn’t leave enough room for pudding…. So we might need to return v soon!

Stayed overnight on a Saturday, after a nice walk around Peaslake and Abinger. The room was very nice. Large and comfy bed, modern bathroom (walk in shower, no bath) and very clean. Evening dinner was exceptional food and the breakfast also. Very impressed and would definitely stay again.

This is a hidden gem. We had a party of 12 eat here on a Saturday for lunch. Our party was so big that we preordered out meals and we were so happy with the food and service. The food was all fresh light meals. I had the beef for main and the beef was very well cooked. The staff were really kind and helpful. They made sure we were topped up with drinks. Thanks Anastasia and team!

Came in with my partner for dinner, we waited a long time for our food, I appreciate it takes time however we were the only us two in the whole pub and no one informed us of a wait.

The food came out lovely, and tasted very nice however the cauliflower steak was not very filling, it is again lovely but could use A little more smaller cauliflowers or perhaps something As A side.

We had some lovely desserts to finish, however dessert was followed with loud music coming from above, which I presume was coming from the kitchen.
I love some decent tunes on out a Friday night but NOT when I’ve taken the time to come out to the countryside for a peaceful date night with my partner.

We visited for dinner on a Thursday night and the pub didn't put a foot wrong. The service was friendly and attentive. The drink selection was very reasonably priced and well appointed - it isn't everywhere you can get a delicious pint of bitter *and* a negroni. And the quality of the food and its presentation belied the very reasonable price, this was gastronomy at pub grub prices.
We'll definitely be back.
