What a great place to stay. |We were welcomed by Iain and shown to our room, he offered to help us with our luggage which we appreciated but declined the offer since we were a lot younger than him. |The room was perfect for us and spotless with everything you could need for a couple of nights stay. The bed was comfortable and the room had a good shower. |We enjoyed a few drinks in the bar where the beer and atmosphere were great. |There’s a 24 hr car park a couple of minutes walk away which we found really handy. |The town itself is well worth a visit and there’s plenty places to go walking. ||Thanks to Iain, Linda and staff who made us feel very welcomed and made our stay a very memorable one and we will definitely be back in the future.

Room was clean and good basic tea and coffee facilities. Seemed to have a distinctive aroma but okay with windows open. Pay on arrival before seeing room. Very soft bed. Suspect they need a new mattress. Tiny shower room. No breakfast. Could leave suitcases for early arrival. Heard the man using the F word loudly, in frustration probably as they were busy cleaning the rooms, when dropping our suitcases off, but felt his exasperation was unnecessary. We had checked in advance if we could leave our bags. Wouldn’t go back and not sure we’d recommend.

Stayed for 2 nights beginning of august. Had booked through booking.com. The listing is clearly out of date as the pub itself is not actually open so that was our first disappointment. The bedroom was clean if albeit a little cramped but the strangest thing was the wash hand basin in the bedroom as apposed to the bathroom… not very practical . Breakfast was very enjoyable and plenty of choices although only served from 8-8.45 with check out at 10am. |Parking was a bit of an issue too whilst there is a car park nearby it’s only short stay and on a disc system. The machine was not working either. There was a long stay car park further on which was free between 6-9am so we had to move the car onto the short stay for an hour… that’s when I discovered the machine out of order and had to find a local shop to get one. |The lady was served breakfast was very helpful and pleasant but there was a lot of coughing coming from the kitchen on the first morning which was a little off putting. |Can highly recommend Mavi Turkish restaurant in town, one of the best meals we have had in a long time. |I don’t think the stay was value for money though I do understand prices in the area are expensive.

Worst place we have ever been to for food the service was absolutely appalling the food wasn't cooked properly sent half of it back they don't have a kids menu they don't even do mash potatoes on the Sunday lunch, one of the staff members with ginger hair was unthinkably rude needs to learn some manners

After a friendly welcome from Linda and Iain we were shown to our room which was spotlessly clean and comfortable. We stayed for 4 nights and it was the perfect base for exploring the area. Breakfast cooked to order which is always a plus, and very nice it was too. ||The shower was the best I’ve ever known in holiday accommodation!! ||Would not hesitate to book here again.

Great little find. Linda and the team made us so welcome. The rooms are spotless and comfortable. No complaints at all. Breakfast was super - cooked to order, rather than the dried out buffet that so many hotels offer these days. It's great base for travelling around the area.

Stayed here with my sister 1 night, very good value for money and centrally located, close to all amenities and 7 min walk from train station.||Common areas smell clean and fresh, the room was bright, with 1 double and I single bed, very comfy, we were on the top floor so had no noise from the bar downstairs. It was clean and functional, although shower room was small, the shower was powerful enough, they supply, shower gel shampoo and conditioner too.. A nice touch.tea and coffee making facilities in the room too with some biscuits. ||Landlady very friendly when checking in, also breakfast lady very nice, friendly and attentitive, and my sister as a veggie was catered for, toast and plenty butter, hot offering fried breakfast and cereals, yogurts and fruit, tea and coffee and fruit juice were good.||We would stay here again, our only bugbare was the curtains were not blackout, and the seagulls kept us awake half the night.. Even with the windows closed!! Not the fault of the hotel tho, but maybe should offer some earplugs?||Fantastic value tho, very clean and friendly ?

Quirky place. Old building and rooms seem to be on a slope. Basic breakfast with sachet coffee self made from an urn. Rooms above a pub so can be noisy, but if you can't beat them join them. 15 minutes walk from the station, in the Heart of Berwick. Basic but great location. ?
