Lovely atmosphere. Good quality of food at a reasonable price - especially the fried eggs and the fluffy pancakes. Great choice of breakfast items. They were very open and allowed swapping of an item on the Kitchen Breakfast which was much appreciated. One downfall was the extra bacon on the pancakes as it was £2 extra and the amount provided did not reflect the price. But overall a great experience. Quick service and cute presentation of drinks and food. Didn’t have time to take a picture of the deluxe hot chocolate with lots of cream as it was drunk too quick! Would definitely recommend.

Waited at the 'please wait to be seated' sign where the staff member just proceeded to look at their checklist for a few minutes and couldn't even acknowledge us. Another member of staff eventually came over to show us to a table.

Order was taken and food delivered within 10 minutes but drinks came about 10 minutes against.

We were on a long journey so decided a sweet treat so my wife went up to the counter to get us something where she was told to sit down as orders had to be taken at the table. When she stated that without looking what was available she wouldn't know what to order (a fair point) they agreed to take them order at the till but rather than her take the cages then we had to wait for the waitress to bring them over... 15 minutes later.

The cafe itself is lovely and the good was great but the service fell pretty short of what I'd expect at a place like this.

My husband and I popped in for lunch.
I can recommend the prawn marie rose sandwich, it came with a lovely side salad and a serving of crisps it was delicious and my husband enjoyed his jacket potato with cheese and beans, which also came with a side salad, not sure what coleslaw they use but it was very yummy 😋 the oat milk latres were great too.
It was pretty busy but not too loud to spoil our conversations, the service was fast and it was nice and clean.
Will definitely go back again!

We've been to the Kitchens at Coombe garden centre many, many times with great food however today was a let down after spending nearly £100 and the mushy peas were unfortunately overly salty to the point the 3 of us could not eat the side. We raised the issue, but were asked if we would like more peas. Ideally the best solution would have been a Discount, a Refund or Free drinks..... But that was Not offered.... Sorry Coombe Gardens, not the best experience today 🙁

Lovely cafe/restaurant. Perfect for all ages.
We went on a busy Sunday lunchtime and ordered Roast Beef and Roast Chicken.
They were happy to cater for smaller appetites, which was perfect.
Exceptional service from the lady on the till who helped me with a specific requirement for my husbands special dietary requirements.
DELICIOUS red cabbage on the Roast dinner.

What an amazing place. Really well done restaurant that oozes quality. Food was excellent (sorry i started to eat before taking pics, couldnt wait).
I had the ham, egg and chips, also we had the Prawn baked potato.
All really well done and presented.
Cakes look amazing and the staff were excellent. Real pleasure to be there.

They are located in a garden centre with lots to offer and some really nice gifts and presents.

Just off the A303 near Honiton. Very worth planning your route to stop off. Especially if you are heading South West and need a break from driving.

Nice garden centre with a friendly welcome from the stores dog.
Good café with an expansive menu and well presented meals plus a great selection of cakes! Good value so well worth a visit.
