We had a beautiful stay at the Knowle Guesthouse. Derval was an amazing host, she provided lots of recommendations and thoughtful tips ahead of our stay. She was flexible around our check in/out and went above and beyond while we were there, making our stay feel very special. The birthday cake she made was delicious. The breakfast was outstanding. The room felt luxurious and incredibly comfortable; the bedding was gorgeous, the bed was huge and super comfortable. The interiors of the house are very tasteful and create a serene environment. Would recommend the Knowle Guesthouse for anyone planning a trip to St Leonard’s.

We had a fabulous welcome from David and Dervla. We were ushered into their beautiful lounge with a roaring wood burner and offered tea and scones while we thawed out from our journey. Everything in the house, our room and huge bathroom was exquisite, including the beautifully scented bathroom products and fluffy towels. It was spotlessly clean and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was exceptional. Dervla is a great chef and uses local produce to make her own preserves and pastries. It was more like visiting friends than a guesthouse. We cannot recommend it highly enough.

Fab guesthouse, a 15/20 min walk out of town and peacefully quiet. Every detail had been thought of - from baked treats, great breakfast, enough hooks and plug sockets, fluffy towels, a massive bath and a comfy bed in a stunning house. Couldn’t have felt more looked after

The Knowle is an outstanding bed and breakfast - one of the very best we have stayed in. The house itself is lovely, beautifully kept and very tastefully furnished. Our room was extremely comfortable and quiet and had a lovely (and enormous) bathroom. The star of the show, however, is breakfast - with some products coming from their own huge kitchen garden. All the food is carefully sourced; nothing is too much trouble. Derval is a great host - knowledgeable and talented. Altogether this is a great experience which we cannot recommend highly enough.

Stays at The Knowle are really special. Derval has mastered the art of hospitality - our stay couldn't be faulted, with so many thoughtful details and really incredible cooking. I didn't know if the experience could live up to so many glowing reviews but it certainly did. Book a stay, you won't regret it!

This is the third time I’ve booked my parents into this wonderful guest house when they’ve come to visit, they love it here so much! It’s a stunning house, beautifully renovated. The decor is stylish, modern (while still retaining the Victorian character of the house) & most importantly, very comfortable. It’s somewhere you can really feel at home in. I’d recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay in a welcoming, friendly place. The breakfasts are a veritable feast as well!

Over the bank holiday weekend we enjoyed a blissful two-night stay at The Knowle luxury bed and breakfast in St Leonards near Hastings. From the moment we checked in, we knew there was something special about this gorgeous B&B. That wonderful first impression started with the hosts. Derval and Dave were friendly, welcoming and attentive. They went out of their way to make sure we had a delightful and memorable stay in their exquisite home. ||The property is located in a quiet street, and benefits from ample on-street parking. It's not too far to walk to the seafront, maybe 15-20 minutes. Our spacious room was beautifully decorated and spotless. It featured a super comfy kingsize bed and a large ensuite bathroom that can only be described as luxurious and opulent. With a large walk-in shower and big bath tub, it was like we were staying in a boutique hotel. ||What elevated the experience for us was the interactions we had with Derval. She was lovely and friendly and made so much effort to ensure everything was to our liking. We were treated to her delicious homemade scones on arrival, as well as homebaked biscuits in the room. And the breakfast each morning was delicious and plentiful. Talk about a perfect way to start the day. ||Derval and Dave have clearly put a lot of love, care and attention into creating the best possible experience for their guests. We wouldn't hesitate to stay at The Knowle again. In fact, we were sad to leave. Thank you Derval and Dave, for making our short stay a joyous one.

We have been in many bed and breakfasts over the years but we are agreed that this is the best: the beautiful house and garden; the elegant decor; the warm and welcoming host. The breakfasts are outstanding : excellent food sourcing and many items from their own large kitchen garden - including fresh rhubarb and asparagus . A very strong recommendation!
