We just got back from a two night stay here and cannot wait to come back. It’s in a great location around a 20/25 minute drive from the city centre & so peaceful. We had a beautiful view from our room as shown in the photo. The room, and the hotel/restaurant, were impeccably clean. The bed was honestly the comfiest I’ve ever slept on. The staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. We had breakfast on our first morning and the service was 10/10 as was the food. I honestly can’t recommend The Lake House enough. I could go on & on with everything we loved. We will definitely be visiting again.

I havent stayed in any of the rooms so cant comment. But i and some friends have eaten there quite a few times. The food is lovely. Had fish and chips last time. A massive fish so fresh... and crispy crunchy chips..|The staff are very attentive and polite. Wendy was lovely and treated us like VIP s.|Outside is fab especially on a sunny day just on the edge of the lake. And fabulous wooden pods to sit in if you want to escape the breeze or the sun. All in all i would certainly recommend. Give it a try you wont be disappointed

Me and my husband got married here in February and WOW it was everything we had pictured and more.
The venue is gorgeous, the staff are so helpful, friendly, attentive and nothing was too much trouble. I even had guests compliment them.
The food we had was absolutely delicious. Ourselves and our friends and family didn't have one bad word about it.
The rooms were clean, comfortable and modern.
Special mention to Natalie our wedding coordinator, who went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly.
Thank you to all at The Lake House for making our special day one to remember.

It was our first time for a few drinks and dinner last night at the Lake House and we absolutely loved it. Had the most amazing food. The waitress recommended the chicken milanese which was unreal. The service was amazing and Wendy didn’t fail to make sure we had a fab time. We’ve already made plans to come back in the summer!

Stopped off here to watch the sunset go down and had a non alcoholic drink. Staff seemed friendly who served me. Can't comment about the food or rooms due to not using the service to why I haven't rated them. Lovely views of the marina and parts of the beach facing the marina enjoying a drink on a warm evening. 👌

We had our second visit to the Lake House recently, and were quite happy with the food and coffees we had. However, even though the restaurant wasn't exactly busy, and the friendly waitress took our orders quickly, we felt that the time taken to bring our food was a bit slow. |Also, I think adding a 'service charge' (approx 10%) onto the end of the bill, is a bit cheeky. |It should be MY decision to offer a 'tip' if I want to, rather than it being part of the bill. I've been in many restaurants on my travels, all over the world, and haven't had this additional charge for a long time; least of all, in the UK.

We got married in April 2025. I couldn’t fault the staff at the venue. We felt so welcome there, the staff working at wedding were amazing and really got into the wedding too.
The food was great. The location is to die for and is so beautiful during the sunset.
Would highly recommend getting married at the lake house!

Visited last Friday (16th may), there was a mistake with our table - completely our fault, my friend booked inside instead of one of the huts.
However it was quickly sorted out by the help of the lovely girl working behind the bar outside (dark hair tied back - didnt catch her name). Wendy (the manager) was also very helpful and welcoming.
We had drinks & food, it was fab. We will definitely be back. Thanks again!
