Such a beautiful and peaceful get away, we were very sad to leave! Richard is a great host and couldn't have been more helpful. We felt so at home in the Lakehouse, it had everything we could have needed. The perfect break to see in 40th birthday celebrations 😊

Absolute perfection!

We spent a wonderful couple of days together with our dog nestled at the bottom of the hill in the `Lakehouse. There aren't many places where you can enjoy 360 degrees of privacy.

The Lakehouse sits amongst the trees on it's own private lake with a wood-fired hot tub and pizza oven. The bed is huge and very comfortable, not that you'll want to spend much time inside. An easy to use log burner. All the Amenities!

Richard the host is very friendly and accommodating, there should you need anything but gave us complete peace. The gin from his distillery was a lovely touch.

Amazing produce around the local area, gorgeous coastline and pubs.

Lots to see and do nearby, though I doubt you will want to leave!

Had an magical stay at the Lakehouse for our 10 year anniversary. The Lakehouse itself has a rustic charm, so cosy especially with the log burner. We had the peace and tranquility that we hoped for and enjoyed all the facilities on offer.

We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful place to spend time together, relax and recharge - it really felt like it was just us and nature. The facilities are amazing especially with the hot tub. Unfortunately the weather was not on our side to take the boat out. The location also is very close to the coast, markets and Dartmoor national park.

Richard was an amazing host and really tried to make our stay special, we really appreciated all your effort, thank you.

If you’re after a secluded hut where you can get back to nature, sit by a roaring fire and yet still have WiFi, a kitchen and comfortable rooms then this is it! We stayed in winter and the weather was cold so we decided to try a dip in the lake @ 7 degrees) and then while away the hours in the 40 Degree hot tub…lush)! Later we enjoyed gin from the Lakehouse distillery (bottle is provided and you can check out the distillery as it’s on the farm) and then spent a relaxing night by the fire looking over the lake which was lovely and lit up with sweet lighting! In terms of proximity to things, the location of the Lakehouse is great with a local farm shop and charcuterie shop (with Michelin grade meat) just 6 mins drive away, a cute high street 12 mins away and Plymouth and the closest beaches about 25 mins away. Richard, the host, made us feel so welcome, nothing was too much for him. Loved our stay here and we’ll be back!

The Lakehouse is a peaceful utopia, a very unique experience. Sit and watch the dragon flies skim the water in the daytime and watch the bats at night, we even saw a kingfisher. The swimming/boat on the lake and hotub just add to this beautiful place. The house has everything you need and it is to a very good standard. Richard is the perfect host and his gin was welcomed. Rain or shine the Lakehouse is perfect especially when lit up at night. Thank you for a wonderful stay

Just returned from a weekend at The Lakehouse. What a hidden gem! An oasis of calm and tranquillity in a private and secluded area, surrounded by trees and with its own little lake. The weather wasn't kind to us, but sitting by the log burner, watching Kingfishers fish in total peace and quiet was idyllic. It has everything you need for either a romantic getaway or just a total escape from everyday life. Richard, the host, invited us into his charming distillery to sample his gin, which made our stay truly memorable. We'd love to go back!
