We popped in for a Saturday morning coffee and can honestly say my flat white was one of the nicest I’ve had in a while! Staff were super friendly and the overall atmosphere was lovely and relaxed. Lots of chutneys, preserves and fresh bread on offer. Will definitely be back to try a pastry 😊

Really refreshing coconut and pineapple drink enjoying the sun drenched seats at the front of the deli. A lovely place with a very friendly welcome.

In my opinion this is a place for coffee lovers. The flat white is streets ahead of the drink you usually find either on the high street or other independents. If you are lucky enough to get hold of a pain au raisin to go with it, it’s a perfect match. Operates on a different level to the rest.

I was disappointed with the coffee and pastry I had for a takeaway.

The coffee was little tasteless and the pastry tasted a bit old, cold and kind of soggy. It wasn’t what I expected to receive as it was early in the day but they don’t have fresh pastry everyday I guess. Such a shame as I was very excited to try this place after reading all the good reviews.

Also, the options were limited when I visited. There was barely anything in the cabinet and I expected them to have more variety in deli menus and pastry, but it wasn’t the case even though it wasn’t super early or late.

*I only posted an honest review based on my experience so I’m shocked to see the response.

How realistic is it for someone to go back all the way, during a trip, just for a refund of £10? I am sorry for “cowardly” posting a negative review instead because I had no time to waste for a mere pastry.
People do post reviews and they might not be always positive depending on the experience/perspective, which should be allowed on Google reviews as long as they’re truthful. I am entitled to form my own opinion and the pastry and coffee weren’t great imo. I’m still very surprised to hear the pastry was fresh as it didn’t seem like it at 9am. I hope you understand this is just my personal opinion.

Absolutely wonderful! We would highly recommend heading here if you’re visiting Bakewell. Delicious coffee, fab cakes and food and great takeout options and deli options to cook at home/at the Airbnb too. Than you we loved everything we bought over the Easter weekend 👍
