We only usually order drinks from here when we walk the dog but I have to say, the layout is terrible. If you just want a coffee, it's not clear where you need to order unless someone is on the front desk to direct you. I'm used to it now but during our visit on Saturday, a gentleman came in via the exit and waited patiently at the drinks connection end of the counter. At no point did any of the 2 baristas or the 3-4 other members of staff tell him where he needed to be - he was flat-out ignored. I get that he's in the wrong place (and I should have just said something myself) but he was only a few feet from the baristas and they could have easily directed him to the right counter. 2 seconds of their time but no, not a word. So he left (and didn't come back in the entrance).

An absolutely fantastic cafe and the location is gorgeous! Wonderful decor, staff are always friendly, and the food and drink is great! Definitely give it a go if you're new to Lincoln.

We stayed over 1 night (Sunday) in our Motorhome in the Car Park only £9 for 24 hours. It's the 2nd time we've used this stopover. Very handy for Lincoln, and a fantastic Indian restaurant just across the road along with a couple of smashing pubs. Unfortunately our stay was spoilt due to some big kids kicking a ball into our Van. No damage but annoying and unnecessary and quite unsettling. I suppose Kids will be kids ! But it has slightly put us off...for now.

Fantastic Afternoon tea for two, tasty and plentiful. The service was attentive but not intrusive. The Lawns is a unique location with plenty of history and is a comfortable location to relax and enjoy your food. One to enjoy

Located on Union Road at the West Gate of Lincoln Castle. Plenty of parking. Seating indoors and out. Friendly and welcoming staff. Lovely place with great coffee from Stokes. I usually have an Americano.
