We arrived at Leagate Inn with our German Shepherd for lunch at 14:32, unaware that the kitchen had just closed at 14:30. Despite this, the gentleman who greeted us went above and beyond—he immediately checked with the kitchen, and they kindly offered to take our order. From that moment on, we were made to feel incredibly welcome.

Our dog was a little restless after a long drive, but after a friendly chat with our host, he thoughtfully arranged for the kitchen to cook up two sausages just for him—a truly kind gesture since the kitchen had closed. The food itself was outstanding; we had the best pies of the day, perfectly cooked and full of flavour. The service was warm, attentive, and genuinely hospitable, making the whole experience even better.

Leagate Inn is the perfect spot for anyone looking for a traditional family pub atmosphere, great food, and exceptional service. Highly recommended!

We are on a mini break at tattershall lakes, this pub was highly recommended to us by a work colleague and we were not disappointed by the food! Homemade steak pie with mash and cabbage was lovely with meat gravy and my partner had fish,chips and garden peas which was also very much enjoyed. Also greeted my a lovely blonde lass and lad on the bar sorry we didn't get your names 😀 we shall definitely be back for some more food with yourselves! Thank you

We came to The Leagate Inn for dinner and had an amazing time! Our third time here but we always thoroughly enjoy the food, drinks and overall experience. Forgive me for the lack of names, but the manager is wonderful, very welcoming and friendly. Our server tonight was an Australian gentleman who did a great job! Thank you for another fabulous meal, and for accepting our four-legged friend as part of the family🖤

Have just spent an evening in the restaurant for a birthday and retirement family meal.
The staff were wonderful and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble.
The food was amazing, fresh and piping hot.
Staff are friendly and welcoming.
I can't praise this place enough. Highly recommend and we will definitely return.

Stopped in the restaurant as we were passing by with no booking and even though they were super busy they still fitted us In which was much appreciated. All of the staff were super, friendly, super attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The atmosphere and decor in the pub was so nice and it had the feeling of a proper old fashioned pub which is hard to find nowadays. The food was all fresh and home cooked and was absolutely delicious and was great value for money. We will definitely be revisiting and I would definitely recommend checking it out.

I don't normally write these kind of reviews but was so impressed with the food and service that I felt I had to.

I can't recommend this place enough, hadn't been here for around 12 years, and was delighted that yesterday's experience surpassed all my expectations... the food (and desserts) were amazing, without over exaggerating, probably the best Rib-Eye steak i have ever had. Desserts looked so great, I had to have 2!!!! Both delicious. The staff were also very welcoming, friendly and efficient.

The Inn itself is a beautiful place, very older world feel about the place with big wooden beams and several log burning fires.

As we attended on a Car club jolly, also delighted to find that there were masses of open space parking for our Mustangs.

I will definitely be going again..... and shan't leave it so long next time.

Hidden Gem.

I found this place by accident but I'm so glad I did as it's an exceptionally well run, tucked away diamond of a pub!

Went for the Lamb Shank off the specials board. Superb.
Melt in your mouth lamb, perfect honey roasted carrots, fondant potato and a rich gravy. Hard to beat.

The Sticky Toffee Pudding is also high on my list of Best Ever desserts too.

Great staff, cool location and relaxed yet warm welcome make this a Bucket List pub.

Such a lovely pub, very olde inside with low ceilings and lovely beams. Eaten here a few times and the food is always lovely, on this occasion we just stopped for a drink and sat by the lovely real fire and the beautiful tree. Staff were lovely and attentive. Great choice of wines and beers, big specials board for food and they had a big Christmas cocktail list which looked very interesting. Big car park and beautiful big garden for the summer. Nice clean facilities.
