We did not stay at The Limes but had an excellent Sunday Lunch. The service was attentive and paid close attention to dietary needs, allergies etc. My wife had Brie starter which came with in a large wedge and I the soup of the day with warm bread. The soup was excellent but to small portion. My wife had the Salmon and I the Vegetarian main option which came with side vegetables. We shared an excellent Sundae. No real ale, but they had bottles of Speckled Hen, which sadly was served cold rather than room temperature, which I can never understand. Bottled beer should be stored on shelves not in chillers. We will return as we both enjoyed the setting, service and the excellent food.

Lovely location and just as lovely hotel. Decorated really well for Christmas and New Year. Booked for New Year’s Eve staying overnight in a superior room which we paid extra for. On arrival allocated room 11 not a superior room, so asked why we hadn’t been allocated a superior room? Struggled to find one for us but then given room 21. It was very musty smelling inside and the divan was broken so unable to sleep on the bed very well, noisy and uncomfortable. Went to reception and naturally nothing else available, as the hotel was full and no chance of replacing the divan sadly. So a very poor nights sleep after what was a tremendous evening, led by the owner and his excellent team. Entertaining everyone from children to adults all through the evening and night. Food was to an excellent standard and choice. The DJ also very good. Breakfast next morning cooked fresh and plentiful. Would I stay here again, absolutely if they sorted out the bed situation.

This lovely place should be more than a 3star. We spent a. Girly afternoon/evening there as we had a work meeting the next day. Every single member of staff were outstanding and could not do enough for us. They were so welcoming, food and service were great. The staff are a credit to the hotel, we will definitely be returning

My partner and I attended the Limes for Christmas Day Lunch, a first for us and definitely not our last |The hotel was so festive and homely! The decorations and the way the dining room was set out was lovely The meal we had was fabulous, couldn’t fault it |The staff are amazing, we have visited many places and the staff here have to be the most friendliest we have ever come across! Nothing is too much trouble |Special thanks to Vanessa who was our waitress! She went above and beyond for us and really took the time to make us feel special even though she was so busy! Lovely lady |We are already planning to return next year for Christmas Day but we will be visiting throughout the year as this place is a hidden Gem

This is the third time we’ve stayed at the limes. Room was clean and roomy , we paid for a superior room this time. |Staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. Breakfast was a buffet on New Year’s Day but cooked to order in the second day. Both breakfasts were delicious and the service was fast. |My only negative is that unlike many of the hotels in the area it’s not dog friendly. Our dog stayed with our daughter who we were visiting so it didn’t spoil the stay.

Myself and my daughter stayed here last night while at working in the area. The staff were lovely, the food was fantastic and the rooms were so nice. I would have liked a softer pillow but that’s my own personal preference other than that I can’t fault the place. Great night n even better nights sleep

Booked Christmas dinner at the Limes for a party of 9. We arrived early to have a pre-dinner drink. The staff were extremely helpful and right on time our table was ready. Service was superb and food was excellent. The staff especially Callum could not do enough for us. Highly recommend the Limes and will definitely go to one of their many theme nights.

Never been here before but went there Friday 6th December. Brilliant master of ceremony, whose microphone always worked, held the audiences attention with games, music, free drinks. Food was 10/10 served on hot plates. The DJ had also read the room and played the music suitable to the crowd that was there with a good mixture to please everyone. Definitely will go back and good value and the drinks although not cheap were not a rip off.
