The welcome is warm and the food is always excellent. Tonight it was pie night. We both had the steak and ale suet pudding with home made chips, peas and onion gravy. It was a taste sensation. The meat was so tender it fell apart when putting a fork to it. The pastry was light and delicious, just as I remember my own mothers. The meal did not disappoint as you can see from the before and after pictures.|All the food served here is top notch, very tasty and great value for money. You will be pleased you discovered this little gem in the village.

Let's start with the good points that gave it four stars. |My room was immaculate. Cosy, clean with all you need. As it was at the back of the inn, I slept well.|It was convenient for buses into Lincoln and elsewhere.|The owner is an excellent cook, and the evening meals he cooked were first-class and reasonably priced. Again, the cooked breakfast was spot on.||But his wife has a problem. She has no idea of customer communication, is curt and anxious, and has no leeway for times. I was 5 minutes 'late' for breakfast one morning, which freaked her out. Food is served, and then she disappears with no further interaction. The wrong person for front of house. ||I would stay again for the excellent facilities and food and have a secret smile about the Faulty Towers service.

Excellent service, food and value for money. Would highly recommend. We had a shared seafood starter which was very good, both main courses were excellent. Will hopefully go back the next time we’re in the area. Would advise booking, we missed out the last time we were here.

9 of us came for Sunday lunch just before Christmas. My parents are local and have eaten there previously, so we had high hopes. The dining room was busy but the service was excellent, the food was hot and so tasty with loads of well-cooked vegetables. 6 of us had the Sunday roast, 2 had pie, 1 had lasagne, all were delicious. And incredible value. They cater for gluten free diets without any drama. We traveled up from South Warwickshire and will definitely make the trip again.

Fantastic food and very reasonably priced plus they don't fleece you on the drinks either.
Been here twice now. Have no reason not to recommend it. Staff very nice too

We visited the restaurant last night as a party of 4, we were met by a nice welcoming and the staff are extremely friendly and attentive. We ordered starters & mains which we all very much enjoyed.|The menu has a really good choice.|We will most definitely be back soon.

Well just been to the Lincolnshire Poacher Inn for a meal with friends.

WHAT CAN I SAY BUT ABSOLUTELY AMAZING FOOD. I THINK IT HAS TO BE RATED AS THE BEST FOOD I HAVE HAD IN LINCOLN. IF YOU HAVENT BEEN YOU ARE MISSING OUT. ALL PROPER HOMEMADE FOODS OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY. AMAZING STAFF AND FRIENDLY. DEFINITELY MY GO TO PUB/RESTAURANT NOW.

Went to the Poacher for Sunday lunch after reading the good reviews, and we were not disappointed.
Excellent food, generous portions, piping hot, lovely friendly staff and very reasonable prices. 5 stars all round.
