The barn was recently renovated, large and clean. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances etc. The hosts were friendly, took us through the history of the house, introduced us to their farm animals and gave us great ideas of what to explore in the local area. It truest felt like a home away from home and was very relaxing. Would stay here again and would recommend to others. It was easy to drive around the Somerset / Devon region from here and we spent a few days in Dartmoor national park. The hosts respected social distancing guidelines.

Positive: The location was superb as we wanted to explore all areas of Devon and Copplestone was ideal. The accommodation was tastefully decorated and excellently equipped. A very peaceful country setting and we were fortunate to have superb weather to enjoy it.. Negative: My only 2 comments are that the sofa wasn't particularly comfortable but we were out most of the time, not lounging around so it didn't matter. (Such things are all according to personal preferences anyway.) I was a little unhappy about the trackway to the property which was rather rough in places for an ordinary car, but no harm seems to have been done!.

Positive: Very well presented place, plenty of room and very quirky (in a good way). The Kitchen facilities were excellent and had everything you need for the stay. Very praceful and very quiet, there is a Tesco superstore in Crediton to stock up on food/drink. We went to the Devon Dumpling which was a really nice place to eat. Overall the Linhay was a very nice place for a 5 day break. Star gazing was incredible as there was very little light pollution. Negative: Shower was faulty and temperature couldn't be changed and was always a little bit too hot, also no bath mat provided so floor was slippery after showering. The room was very cold in the night even with the heating on. The drive is very steep and very uneven with large stones, we struggled not to damage the underside of our car which was a normal car, 4x4/SUV definately recommended..

A lovely place to stay out in the countryside. Pauline and Steve are superb hosts who make you very welcome. A very nicely cooked breakfast with their own eggs has to be tried to be believed. I would highly recommend this place to stay.

Booked and confirmed on AirBnB. Hostess rang me to say “sorry my calendar not up to date”, room is not available. You must cancel it yourself. I try to cancel, but AirBnB says host must cancel. I call AirBnB (long-distance chargé from UK to USA), only for AirBnB to say host must cancel & they will send me guidelines on how to book in the future. WTF?!?

Beautiful and peaceful place to stay. The host was great, the facilities are great, brand new in old renovated farm buildings, would stay here again if i had the chance.
