We dropped in for a Sunday meal and found customers and staff welcoming and friendly. Food was wholesome and clearly home made, delicious. The beer, I had the local Hen Harrier beer from Bowland Brewery, was superbly well kept and offered a clean and refreshing pint. The landlord and landlady were lovely and made us feel most welcome. I would recommend this place to anybody. It is everything a family run village pub should be. Well done all concerned.

We called for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. The food was absolute delicious. The best steak pie I have ever tasted! Everything homemade (including the chips which were absolutely amazing). Lovely husband and wife hosts. We can't wait to come back.

The pub served good wholesome food which was very nice. The staff were very friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. It was a small cosy pub and the locals were friendly . You can take dogs inside the pub. The owners have two dogs and they were adorable.

Friendly staff, cosy atmosphere and great food. Also dog friendly which we love. My pie, chips and mushy peas tasted very homemade unlike the boring and mass produced food in many pub chains. It was a bonus that rugby was on the telly and we were able to chat to the friendly locals.
