This tired looking hotel could be splendid with a little extra effort and customer focus. The room was nice enough, although the corners of the bathroom, along with window frames, were grubby; a particular low point was the urine stains on the skirting board by the toilet. The Manager was non-plussed when the photo was shown to him, advising the room had been cleaned. The shower did not work (I was asked if I thought the pump was faulty!) The evening meal was very nice, although we were asked for last orders at the bar at 10pm as the staff member on duty was feeling unwell, with no support. And paper tablecloths doesn’t really speak quality. Almost worthy of a positive review, but not quite there. For the money, you can do a lot better. Disappointing.

Lovely hotel with beautiful grounds. The staff were extremely accommodating and made us feel very welcome. We missed breakfast in the morning, but the staff very kindly sorted a lovely spread out for us, even though the kitchen had closed. The terrace at the back of the house is a wonderful sun trap and the perfect place for an evening glass of wine. We shall definitely return to this delighltyly tranquil hotel.

Accommodating, friendly and thoughtful to the max, pre-empting requests and ensuring nothing was a problem. All staff were chatty and friendly and full of good advice. Easily accessible room, with a walk in shower and beautiful view of the garden. Spent most of the time outdoors, even eating on the terrace (tasty and good portions). They even arranged amazing weather! Great positioning for the New Forest. Would come again.

I’ve stayed at this lovely little gem a handful of times over the last three years. Coming back is always a delight. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are super comfortable. The garden is fantastic and the staff are incredibly welcoming and accommodating.

Would recommend as a basis for exploring the coast and the New Forest.

We stayed for one night (in Room 8) which was lovely and comfortable. Most excellent food was served in the dining room. Compliments to the chef! The Hotel provides an ideal stay within the New Forest and did so for the first night of our trip along the South Coast.

Stayed here last August and just returned for a 2 night stay. The hotel is lovely, the people who run it are equally lovely. And it's very dog friendly, not just dog tolerant. Ideally situated for visiting so many lovely places in the forest. We will definitely be back. Thankyou 🙂 ps. Breakfast was lovely 😋

The Manor at Sway hosted my mum’s 85th birthday celebrations this weekend. We took all 15 bedrooms and had a sit down 3 course lunch followed by evening buffet. |I have to say, I’ve lived in Sway for 6 years and this is the 1st time I’ve frequented the hotel. The whole experience was amazing, the food fantastic, service excellent and the overnight residents enjoyed the comfortable clean rooms. |Tim, the head of the Manor has been excellent throughout the planning for the event, he calmly guided us through the process with ease. |If you haven’t stayed you’re missing the opportunity to enjoy a really lovely New Forest Village hotel. For those who enjoy sitting in the sun there’s a lovely terrace with vast gardens for any young ones to have fun in or, a gentle stroll for those that enjoy a morning stroll before breakfast. |I’m confident you will thoroughly enjoy if you venture there.

We had a lovely stay. The rooms were great, breakfast was excellent, and the staff will bend over backwards to help you. They fulfilled any request we made, and we even left a child's teddy behind and they found it, packaged it up and it's on its way to us now. Highly recommend.
