Stopped for lunch, by chance, but so pleased we did. Excellent food, and very pleasant and helpful management and staff. Location on a main road with a great view down the valley. Will make a point of going again.

It's an amazing setting, and the staff are very helpful and welcoming. The food was good, and a lovely breakfast.

The room was clean and tidy, if slightly dated in places. Great Value for Money - We would stay again.

The A68 is relatively quiet, especially at night, and it's set back slightly, so no issues with traffic noise.

First time having a meal here with friends. Ate in the restaurant lounge. Staff couldn't be more helpful. We had the steak sandwich, peppered pork loin and gammon. All were delicious. Then sticky toffee pudding and brownie for dessert. Just excellent. Really reasonable price wise and top quality food. Definitely recommend.

Wow what a great little find. An absolute gem of a public house and eatery .
Both hosts Dave & Tash could not be more welcoming same for all of the staff. As soon as both me and my partner walked in the door we were made to feel like a king a queen. Friendliness oozed from everyone .
A small main bar makes it impossible to not talk to new people and a great family atmosphere is had with the blazing open fire.
Nice selection of beers and the meals are just outstanding with great value for money .
Defo going back great place 10/10

We were in the area and didn't have a booking. I called ahead to see if they could fit in a table of 8 and they could. The staff were so lovely and friendly. The food was amazing. Will come back again for sure!! Thank you all

What a great find. Stopped for dinner, 4 adults and a baby. Could not be more accommodating. All meals were excellent, Mushroom starter was amazing, Steak sandwich fantastic. The staff could not be more helpful. Winter deals on fot DB&B a must visit if you are in the area on A68. A rural country pub used by locals. We will be back.

First visit to this lovely place. Fire was roaring in bar area. Food was delicious and as good as it looks on their Facebook page. Staff and locals were nice and chatty. Made to feel very welcome. We will be going back.

After a day's fishing at the reservoir we called in for a meal & weren't disappointed. The staff were excellent even more so with the 2 kids, the food ordered was well worth it and reasonably priced, would definitely recommend a stop. We will be calling in again.
