Visited for a meal with my family last night. We Thoroughly enjoyed our food. The menu was really varied featuring some pub classics as well as a few different options as well which was nice to see. We felt the prices were reasonable for the quality of food we ate. The Staff were lovely and really helpful. Enjoyed a couple of games of pool with our boys after our meal as well. Looking forward to our next visit. Embarrassed to say we stay half a mile away and had never been to this gem of a place.

This little quintessential pub is like being at home. Here you meet the locals who are happy to share their experiences living in this area. Close to St Cyrus and easy to access. Meals are prepared and cooked fresh. Very clean and tastefully decorated yet still holding its charm with pull cord lights. Good easy parking off street .

Lovely welcoming wee hotel. Nice bar & quiet beer garden. Friendly chatty owners.
One of the best cooked breakfasts I've eaten recently & the burger I had in the evening was top notch too.
Would have loved to have stayed for Wednesday pizza night, but the cycling beckoned!

Avoid at all costs shocking damp smell in bar |Called to book a table for lunch was not told it was carvery only and no normal menu. Well the carvery was shocking portions were like for a child and meat was tasteless and charged us £34 for what. When asked if everything was ok I said no as was not told it was carvery only host said oh well that’s what it is. We will definitely not be back and recommend people find somewhere else to eat. Very old and run down.

Passed this lovely hotel many times and today we decided to try their Carvery. Great move ! First carvery we have been to that the staff ask you if you have enough meat on your plate or would you like more? The chef came out to speak to us which was a lovely touch. The staff we attentive and efficient and the food was lovely. Good price too. The Proprietor was very nice and the hotel is dog friendly (dogs allowed in the bar area). Cracking peaceful outside seating area for nice summer days. All in all a very pleasant experience. We will certainly dine there again !

Hotel was really clean and staff were also really nice. the beds were really comfy and the breakfast was brilliant. I would definitely stay there again. There was also many places for a bike ride or a hike and rooms came with cups and tea bags /coffee and a kettle and the view is fabulous

Nice location, kind staff and food was lovely and had great customer service. It had a good range of choice for breakfast including all day breakfast and cereal on the side to choose. It also came with a cup of tea pre coffee alongside the kettle in your room. Only downfall was it was an hour and a half walk to the nearest shop.
