We had our wedding reception here after being let down by our original venue. I've seen some people wouldn't recommend for a wedding but I don't share this opinion.
The hosts were amazing and we had a blank canvas to bring the room to life with our theme.
The hosts were amazing, along with the bar staff. As we had no masters of ceremonies, Alex guided us through the formal parts. He made sure, as the bride and groom, we ate and the food was outstanding. They were laid back and so happy they were a part of our special day.
Also, if the weather is fine, utilise the near by beach or st leonards gardens for your photos

I recently went to a wedding reception at this establishment and speaking with everyone involved, we can honestly say it was not worth the price paid.

For starters we had paid £100 to provide our own food, which the owner happily helped himself to all night without asking. We very kindly offered the bar staff the opportunity to have a plate of food at the end of the night as there was quite a bit left, however, it seems as though this kindness was taken for granted as when the bride returned the next day to retrieve some food/sweets (and even plastic bowls) there was nothing to be found.

We had decided to finish the event a few hours earlier than planned and no money was offered back due to us taking some time to decorate the hall before it started, which quite frankly is ridiculous as I have never known a place to be decorated whilst the event is happening.

Whilst there during the day, we were told we would be provided with fridge space for some of the food we were bringing, but this was not the case. Not only did we have to move all of their personal items around in an extra large fridge ourselves, one of these personal items was a tin of opened dog food. Speaking of which, they allowed their dogs to roam freely around the hall and kitchen whilst setting up.

Quite frankly, we had an amazing time due to the wedding party and the things we had provided personally. But when it comes to the venue. We were absolutely appalled at what was provided for such a high price. Shame.

We held my mums wake at the Masonic hall and Alex and all the staff were so kind and so friendly. The buffet was great and all freshly prepared on the day.
A heartfelt thank you to all the staff from all the family.
I highly recommend the Masonic Hall.

Second time in this place. The staff is always friendly and polite. The food served was tasty and always on time.
The location is great, just yards from the seaside and other amenities.

The place needs modernization.
You can organize a party for a child, but I don't recommend a wedding.

I rented a room for my team`s workshop/meeting over the 3 days. We got all that was necessary for the venue, excellent food for lunch, teas, coffees, biscuits and free parking around.  Already been using their service twice , looking forward to booking my next sessions there again. Highly recommended.

We have used the Masonic Hall already twice for our team meetings with our company and we have been very satisfied with the service and catering provided.
The staff have been very good in accommodating all our needs during the meetings.

Would of loved to book this venue for our wedding reception, we contacted Masonic hall 4 months ago to book for wedding reception unfortunately at first we had rung them multiple times & messaged them unfortunately most of the time there was no reply however when we were able to reach them The lady we spoke to sounded quite rude over the phone, whilst all we was doing was trying to get information about the venue and prices, and every time we did get a hold of someone the person kept telling us to call back a couple weeks later and when we did they told us to call again in another couple weeks as it’s out of her hands, and we have been calling repeatedly for a good couple of months without any answer.
I do however understand that there is someone else that is supposed to be taking over the venue and that is absolutely fair enough and completely understandable but the lady we spoke to still could’ve been a bit more polite and professional by giving us the information we needed rather than telling us to keep calling back when it was clearly a waste of our time.
