We camped here and it was very quiet so we got to pick our pitch. Bathrooms were very clean and showers were hot and clean. The bar staff were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was asked for as an additional extra and they were very happy to oblige. We enjoyed some local beers in the bar and then had a great night's sleep in the peaceful campsite. We will be back next year. Thank you!

Mason arms campsite has good facilities and is in a great location. National trust property nearby and a bus service into Yeovil. Plenty choice of walks. The pub serves good food and drinks. Recommended .

Super little quiet campsite behind a lovely country pub. Staff were great, welcome was warm, facilities were good. And we had a very nice meal in the pub on our second night. Recommended!

The staff here are what make the establishment, the two guys that work as shift managers really are assets to the establishment.

Food is ok and nothing to rave about. NO EVENING FOOD UNTIL WEDNESDAY, I had to order take away which is limited due to the location. I booked the stay for my evening meal and the website only states Monday no food.

Rooms are also ok, visible signs of damp or a water leak were visible.
Being six foot the single bed resulted in a poor few nights sleep, I did pay for a double but was told this was the only room available. Expect a fridge and a kettle etc. The shower was also very good.

Parking is free and adjacent to the property.

Breakfast was pre ordered the night before but my selection didn't ever arrive, I ordered eggs on toast and got a full English every time, sometimes you got two sausages and sometimes one, or my personal favourite none. 🤣🤷🏼‍♂️. On a few occasions I just wondered around in the morning until someone showed up, my breakfast was ordered for 7.15am but got to me about 8am.

They had some music Wednesday night but it wasn't advertised anywhere for some reason.

Id possibly visit again as the staff are so polite it needs an overhaul on procedures though.

I stayed at their small campsite behind the pub in my motorhome. A very peaceful location with good amenities. The food was great too, moderately priced. The staff were a helpful and friendly bunch. If you have a long motorhome (mines 7 metres) Give them a call and they'll help you through the entrance, it's tight. Especially if you're solo like myself. I brought my dog who was most welcomed.

Stopped for lunch after doing a search for pub type eateries near out of town Yeovil and come up with the Masons Arms. Greeted very politely as we had arrived before 12:00, served with two beautiful tasting coffees before ordering lunch, two small meals, ham egg and fries plus home made fish cakes and salad dressing followed by apple and raisin crumble that was beautiful. Both my wife and I left the Masons Arms well fed and full. If we are in Yeovil or near in the future we will definitely visit again.

Didn’t enjoy the roast dinner. Wish I had the burger.
Paid for a large roast and I’d say it was a small . 4 small roast potatoes a whole Yorkshire and some meat and vegetables.
It was £5:75 more than a small which was 2 roast potatoes and half a Yorkshire 😂 and vegetables.when do you get half a Yorkshire.?🤷🏼‍♀️ Potatoes where hard like they had been cooked for a while and the Yorkshire was very well done and hard . Can understand the extra money from small to large.. I’m sure the roast potatoes were frozen.. wish I’d stay at home totally wasted my money could of done a lot better for less than £10 and saved myself over £30 .
I know it’s very hard running a pub now a days but if you do a Sunday roast it’s got to be decent. Potatoes don’t cost a lot and I’d rather wait a while and get fresh food rather than food that had been kept warm for a while.
Very disappointed
