Will start with the positive - staff were really friendly. Food was average but good enough for an evening meal for an overnight work stay. My main issue was I barely slept as you can hear the village clock chiming all throughout the night. The windows need proper double glazing fitted! The room itself was okay, just a shame about the noise.

Lovely little Pub, My dad and I are huge George Michael fans and this was a perfect place to celebrate our birthdays ! So many wonderful framed art work of GM
scattered around the pub and just over the road from the beautiful river.
When we first walked in we were greeted by a lovely waitress, the food was delicious would highly recommend and will certainly be back!

A beautiful pub in a beautiful village. Very quiet on the day I visited but service was excellent and the food was of great quality and value for money. I popped in for a quick 'working' lunch and had the Smoked Salmon and Cream cheese sandwich with fries. The sandwich was 'loaded' with filling and served on lovely bread.

Had a very pleasant stay here, it's a beautiful old building and my room was quiet and comfortable, everything worked fine and good to have fresh milk in a fridge on the landing. An excellent freshly cooked full English was included in the room price but no cereals or fruit etc were offered which seemed slightly mean. You get a 12% discount if you book on their own website which undercut all other online sites. The hotel does not serve food on Sunday evenings but there are several alternatives close by.||Goring is a delightful peaceful little town/village right on the Thames. The rail station is just a few minutes walk from the hotel and has trains every 30 mins to Reading, Didcot and Paddington so a great base if you are not driving.

Had an excellent two night stay here. Standard room was characterful and small but not cramped with a nice bathroom. The pub is excellent. Friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere; not at all fussy or pretentious and we enjoyed the breakfasts very much. Great location near the River and Thames Path. Recommended

I've stopped here overnight a few times for work. Rooms are decent size, but soundproofing isn't the best being an old property above a pub but does get quiet as the night goes on. The food in the restaurant is top notch, breakfast isn't as good, the full english was a let down but the eggs benedict is great, they don't skimp on the hollandaise. The village is a great location too. Good for star gazing on a clear night.

We booked a Superior room and we thought it would be …. superior. Sadly not. The bed was hard, lumpy, very creaky and extremely uncomfortable, both curtains were badly torn, the cold tap in the bathroom was just a trickle and to cap it all the only place to plug in the kettle was on the floor in front of the bathroom door. Breakfast was very good however. The pub itself is lovely but it definitely needs a bit of tlc.
