I genuinely could not recommend this to anyone. The stay was awkward enough, the room smelled slightly damp, the extra quilt was marked, there were cobwebs everywhere, the access to the room when the host was out was quite frankly dangerous. Breakfast was a very awkward affair with the host almost joining us for breakfast and discussing extremely personal details which we found very uncomfortable. This got worse when we reviewed through Booking.com - the hosts reply was rude untruthful and quite frankly not becoming of anyone hosting a public establishment.

This place is superb. My mum and I visited the Malverns and stayed here. The house is beautiful and the room was very comfortable. It is a short drive away from local bars/restaurants and the Malverns. We were made to feel welcome and at home immediately. Fiona (the host) is amazing... warm, approachable and super funny. Great communication and an amazing stay. We absolutely loved it. Thank you Fiona for an superb stay.

Have not stopped there, owner has opinions, does not like anyone connected to motor sport. Asked my friend to cancel his reservation, maybe a friend of the councillor, we pay a carbon immission tax for what we do.

My friend and I travelled to Ledbury and stayed at the Moats whilst attending the Hay Festival earlier this year. Fiona's home is beautiful and the ground floor guest bedroom where we stayed was perfect for our needs. Fiona was very communicative and helpful in the run-up to the stay, was happy to adjust the room as we needed it and understanding when we ran later than our intended arrival time (still within the window of check-in hours). After arrival we were able to come and go as we pleased due to the room having its own entrance through French doors onto a back patio. We had an extremely cosy and pleasant time and much enjoyed our morning chats with Fiona and her partner over breakfast. I have very fond memories of this trip and in the future will certainly visit again if the opportunity arises!

Really enjoyed my recent stay at this wonderful place. Great breakfast and my host , fiona, was a lovely person. She completely looked after me, from making sure i had all i required , to even checking that we had no food issues ( allergies) . Local tips as well , i found to be really useful. The room was ideal for me as its so private , very quiet and i enjoyed the privacy so in the evening i could work. Im thinking of booking again for the autumn.

The farmhouse is tucked away in the peaceful Herefordshire countryside and we had a very peaceful nights sleep. Fiona has a single comfortable ground floor en suite room with a door onto the patio and provides a light breakfast of Cereal, toast with Coffee or tea plus orange juice all within the timber walls of the 400 year farmhouse. As it is a working farm check in was later than other B&Bs at 6pm but the fantastic Farmers Arms pub was a 7 minute drive away so we ate early and checked in afterwards at 7pm. If you’re looking for a quite stay in an English farmhouse standing at the time Henry VIII was on the throne this will be idea but if you require early check in and all day access I’d advise a chain hotel but however you prefer somewhere quiet and personal I’d highly recommend a stay.

A magnificent night’s sleep in a very agreeable hostelry. |The property was beautiful, the owner really helpful and the room very comfortable and up to date.|All in all, a very restful night and I’d stay again if passing. |I was on a motorcycle trip and The Moats was perfect for my needs.

Lovely and charming authentic thatched cottage. Exactly what we were hoping for during our English holiday. Would definitely recommend.
The room was very clean, quiet and comfortable with nice touches like hot water bottles waiting for us in the bed. The bathroom was also nicely done and spacious.
Fiona was very welcoming and accommodating and we enjoyed talking with her during breakfast. Best of luck with everything!
