Lovely location, the views across the valley are wonderful. The chalets are very nicely laid out and very well appointed, the beds very comfortable. The hub provides a good resource for entertainment if your own company is not enough. The restaurant provides a good menu and is served very well. The food is hearty and well cooked.
Oh, and our chalet has a hot tub too!!

Stayed in a 2 bed lodge, offed are really nice and spacious and well designed. The lodges have everything you need and hot tub was great too. I would recommend this for anyone wanting to stay in the north Devon area. We didn’t eat on site as we bought all our own food however the bar and restaurant did look really nice too.

We stayed in September with our Cavachon Mr Hugo. Was blown away with the standard of accommodation everything was of exceptional luxurious quality and immaculate. A really usefull doggy welcome pack and a warm hose outside to wash off those mucky paws. Dogs are allowed in the restaurant, bar area and all is reasonably priced ! Plenty of activities on offer, lovely grounds to walk around on and off site. Hot tub is superb! it was beautifully warm on arrival and throughout our stay. I'm not usually a fan of them but this is maintained daily so that put any reservations aside. They appear to have thought of everything! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone. Super bonus points for being genuinely doggy friendly with very high standards of accomodation and grounds ....which is rare these days. Only area for improvement I would say is for the dog park to be little bigger please with a few ramps, tunnels etc but that's just being super picky. You certainly won't be disappointed staying here, we loved it despite of the poor weather.

We stayed in Meadows Lodge, on arrival the lodge was very spacious and lovely and clean. The doggie package was a lovely touch. Hot tub was clean and warm, we saw staff checking the hot tubs daily and cleaned as people left. We had a massage booked and this was lovely and relaxing. We also booked Archery and this was a fun activity to do. The resort its self was kept very tidy and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We used the fenced dog park only downside was the roots and tree stumps which made it difficult for our dog to run around. We had a takeaway from the restuarant that arrived nice and warm and the next evening ate in the restuarant. Only downside it was expensive and not much choice as things on the menu were not available due to the menu being changed over. The access to the restuarant was a slight issue as the stairs are very steep.|Overall it was a lovely relaxing holiday and we hope to return next year.

Love it, live it, love it - just a wonderful calm environment to unwind from the madness life brings surrounded by nature and picturesque views of Devon. Fabulous for families, catering for all ages. We missed not having the golf course available this time…. Highly recommend

A lovely hotel with beautiful views. The games room was good fun with lots of different activities. We made use of the tennis courts as well. The grounds were well maintained.||We booked a ‘superior’ estate room… it wasn’t at all what we expected. The room advertised on booking.com was not at all the same as what we got. We were sadly put in an outbuilding which looked like a toilet block from the outside. It also lacked privacy from the front windows and had no view which we expected for the money we paid. The room itself was very clean but in serious need of updating. ||We booked on the basis that the hotel has a pool and wellness centre that we could use. We used it once and not again. The ladies changing rooms were disgusting- there was hair all over the floor and the pool itself was very underwhelming. ||Breakfast selection was nice but should have been included in the money we paid for our room. The staff were lovely and very attentive at breakfast. The reception team were also very friendly and welcoming. ||Overall a nice break away, but sadly wouldn’t visit again. A lot of potential, but lots of room for improvement!

Great location beautiful lodge and very dog friendly is where it ends.
Leisure pool and spa facilities need a massive renovation with poor changing facilities that smell and look unclean and generally tired looking throughout.
If you book on a fitness class make sure the staff haven't left the company weeks ago to save you arriving at 7 am to be turned away.
If you have children under 4 years of age and the British weather being what it is then be assured you will be faced with some of the activities staff that need a lesson in customer service and nothing to keep young children occupied for more than 5 minutes.
This is our secont visit here and it is sold as a luxury family friendly place to visit with lots to do all round but feel very miss sold this time and won't be returning anytime soon.
Overall very disappointing end to a family holiday and will stop recommending to family and friends after this visit.

The first time any of us had been and safe to say we’re very much looking forward to coming again. A lovely lodge and beautiful scenes. We enjoyed the range of activities and the evening entertainment. A special shoutout to Liam for putting up with our mad behaviour and antics, was a good laugh ?
