We were made very welcome at the Moorings and their communication was great. Our downstairs room was comfy and beside the king size bed, we had a small table and two chairs plus a proper wardrobe and tea and coffee making facilities. The ensuite was a little snug but adequate with fluffy towels. We were concerned at the noise from the main road but the double glazing kept us comfortable and our night was undisturbed. The parking is in a public area behind the houses but our car was fine. The breakfast was marvellous and we would happily go again.

Absolutely loved this B&B! I had the Seaview room. The hosts, Emma and John, were very helpful and friendly with good communication from booking through to leaving. The room was lovely and clean, had everything I needed. Bed and pillows very comfortable. All information provided in the bedroom. Breakfast was amazing, Emma made sure my dietary needs were met, over and above what I expected. I have already booked my next 2 stays.

Stayed at the moorings new years eve when we arrived we got a very warm welcome a really nice room everything you need got up in the morning had a really good breakfast.
We would recommend staying there to anyone going to Southend

Really good value for money. We stayed in the twin room cosy en-suite all very clean and presentable. Blackout curtains were a great touch. Emma the landlady was friendly and welcoming. The breakfast superb with lots of choice. A great selection

The room was perfectly clean and adorable with a kettle and plenty of teas and coffees and a yummy Viennese whirl! The breakfast was delicious. The landlady was lovely and very helpful and welcoming. There was free parking. Overall a great place to stay and super value for money.

Stayed here for four nights in July whilst walking the coast of England and Wales. Great location away from the hassle and bustle of the town centre, but convenient as there were bus stops outside with regular services to places I needed to start or end walks. ||Emma is a charming host and the room I had on the front at the start of the heatwave was lovely and coo,l especially as Emma had kindly provided a fan. Always managed to get a space in the nearby car park and this was around peak season.||Enjoyed it so much I'll be returning later in the year to complete this section of the England coast path

Spent two nights in the twin room for a short getaway. It was lovely, the room was compact but comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed. Emma was wonderful - welcoming and really helpful with providing local information (and her breakfasts were fantastic)! Would definitely recommend!
