I came in with my mum for a meal and the food was amazing but what really sold our visit was our waitress, Tasha. She was so lovely and couldn’t do enough for us she is absolutely a credit to the establishment as her attentiveness and friendliness alone is enough for us to return again!

Been a few times , cheap and cheerful is how I would describe it, great if your on a budget, bit of wait at the bar to order your food always seems short staffed. Food is probably below average in quality but ok eg served burnt lasagne on a regular basis seems normal to staff.

There is a middle age woman possibly a higher manager who is completely miserable and rude, really puts a downer on the place, the sort of person with zero people skills, I have looked through the reviews and she has been noted by quite a few people so it’s not a “ having a bad day type of thing”

You get your own cutlery etc, some staff really nice others not so nice.
There is a lot nicer places within walking distance tbh.

My Mum came to visit me from Chester and we chose the Mount for lunch. The barmaid was very friendly and very nice to talk to. The food was lovely and big portions. I personally will be visiting again very soon. Plus there was a sports room if you like a game of darts. Very pleasant afternoon thank you.

First time staying overnight at The Mount.
First impression very good and will stay again.
Taking my son to the Liverpool match so found this wee place by chance.
Staff very well mannered and helpful.
The rooms were clean and the beds were also comfortable.
The only thing is it's a wooden framed building so you can hear people walking about. But other than that I will be back.

First visit to this pub for a meal while visiting family in the area and was disappointed with the food.
Ordered two meals at the bar with one being a plain cheese burger but it was not what we received.
The kitchen failed to read the order correctly and presented the burger with all the trimmings and the other meal plain which was incorrect.
Meal was replaced but found the food to be luke warm at best
There was also a large table of eight opposite and they had problems with their order.
Friendly staff and clean pub but will try somewhere else on next visit.

We had a great room for a night on a stop over before travelling south. Meal was great and Hannah looked after our table brilliantly, very clean and friendly.

My waitress Hannah was lovely and brought us our food and had excellent customer service skills. Food was lovely and wasn’t a long wait. I love coming here for my food as it’s a lovely restaurant filled with lovely staff.

Visited for my mums 80th at the weekend and have to say the service and food were great. Have been a few times in the last few years and never had a bad experience.
