This review is for the pub and restaurant section - I didn't stay in the rooms.

I popped in on a chilly day in hope of a warm reception, and I was not disappointed. The staff are very welcoming, and this place has managed to capture both a rustic relaxed country pub feel and a sense of refinement all in one. The decor is really good, the tables are well laid out and it's just a lovely relaxed environment in which to eat.

There were 2 fires roaring away on the day I visited which I really enjoyed. The food was really good. I had Yorkshire pudding and roast beef and it was absolutely delicious - just what I wanted on a cold autumnal day! The icing on the cake for me was the library of books to choose from - real books with paper and everything! 🙂

I switched my phone off and spent some time in the old fashioned pleasure of just... reading... a... book.

Wonderful! I will definitely be back!

What a fantastic venue. Whether you’re popping for a quick bite for lunch, afternoon or evening or wanting a fabulous meal this is my favorite place in Lincolnshire. Great location, great service, and outstanding food and drinks. When I’m back in Lincolnshire it’s always top of my list to eat at. They even have a dedicated vegan mean which my girlfriend loves!! The prices are very reasonable and there are always lots of new dishes to choose!!

I cannot comment on the rooms but if they are half as nice as the food they’ll be lovey to.

5* every time not to be mist if your in the area!!

I had arranged my wife's funeral at the village church. The staff at the New Inn arranged accommodation for myself, family and friends, and a buffet reception after the service.|The accommodation was outstanding, and the staff went the extra mile to make our stay wonderful. I asked, and they placed flowers and chocolates in the room of a couple in our party who were celebrating a special birthday. Our evening meal was excellent - smoked haddock starter and succulent roasted pork belly for the main, accompanied by a robust Rioja. The eggs Benedict for breakfast the next morning was cooked with skill. And the buffet for my wife in the afternoon was perfectly prepared and presented. The staff were so kind and thoughtful. Thanks for a perfect occasion.

We visited on Burns Night with friends for a special 7 course tasting menu. The chef and staff clearly put a lot of work into the menu and also created a separate plant-based menu for one person in our group. All the food was beautifully presented and really tasty. The vegan dishes were also great with thoughtful alternatives and fresh ingredients.
The New Inn has a great ambiance inside and out, with welcoming attentive staff and the chef/owner came to our table to passionately talk through each course making for a thoroughly enjoyable evening and birthday celebration. This place deserves to be really successful and will definitely be back soon 🙂

Booked a table for 4 for dinner last night. We received a warm greeting and offered a table in the main restaurant or one by the fire. We took the one by the fire.
Checked out the beers and was not disappointed. A good selection including local brews.
We were given plenty of time to examine the menu and my partner was particularly impressed with the choices for vegetarians which are so often lacking. The food was excellent and we had no complaints. We were able to take our time and enjoy the evening. So much better not to be rushed.
There was a little confusion at the end of the meal over what whiskies and what brandy's were available resulting in me getting a brandy in a whisky glass. Too fussy? Maybe but it's just one of those things that irks me. But everything else had been so good let it go.
So excellent food and excellent service.
Will definitely return.

I came to stay for the one night as needed to pick up items from the Docks. It was a stressful trip and I requested a room with a bath and wow oh wow! It did not disappoint.
The room heated up in a matter of minutes even though it was snowing like crazy!
The bath was next level.
The breakfast especially black pudding, roasted tom with garlic and those mushrooms 😋
From one chef to another- I highly recommend this place and so greatful I found it 🙏

Best three night stay in a hotel i have had for years. Location is great, the team look after you so well, the food is of a very high standard, rooms are clean and homely. I would thoroughly recommend staying here.

After another excellent experience at The New Inn, I feel i should share a little so that others know how special this place is. The staff are really great, running this beautifully restored pub & hotel very smoothly with great attention to everyone having a lovely stay. The rooms are perfect,very comfortable & clean with all you need for a peaceful stay (I stayed in the barn, where you are allowed to have dogs)
The food is of excellent quality. The breakfast that Alex cooked on sun morn was one of the best Ive ever had (thanks Chef!!) & previous meals we've had there have all been brilliant...(steak nights are very good!) & their wine list is awesome
I always feel mixed about telling too many people when i find somewhere that I like this much, as i dont want it to become too busy & ruin the bits of it i like, but i think this place really deserves more people to enjoy it, as its such a lovely place all round. Thanks Alex, Sian & all the staff for making our party & stay so lovely. See you again soon!! 🙏
