I had a fantastic stay at the hotel with my family. The staff in particular are wonderful, are fantastic with children, are very professional and really look after you. The hotel has beautiful grounds and there are plenty of things to do and is a great spot to explore the Norfolk Broads and surrounding areas. I thought the food and service at the hotel was also first class. We really enjoyed making use of the spa facilities at the hotel which are also very good. Overall, we had a lovely stay, the staff are brilliant and we highly recommend.

Perfect venue for a wedding. We were so well looked after throughout the day. Danni and the team did the most amazing job. They were all warm, friendly and very well organised. The bar staff were also great. The wedding room was beautiful and there was a smooth transition between the ceremony and the wedding breakfast (which was superb). The hotel itself was very comfortable, friendly and smart and our bed was super comfy. Again the staff were courteous and efficient, always smiling. The breakfast was lovely too. The spa was amazing and a great end to a lovely time. Set in lovely, well attended grounds, our stay could not have been better. Thank you.

We stayed as part of my 70th birthday celebrations and had the Chanterelle Room, which was light and airy, spacious and had a lovely balcony. We need to go back in the warmer weather so we can take advantage of the balcony! The food was excellent, the staff very well trained, helpful and courteous. There is a lovely open fire in the lounge and reception areas and a lovely cosy feeling throughout the whole hotel. We also used the spa next door and had massage treatments and full use of the spa facilities for. a couple of hours. We finished with a gorgeous tapas style lunch in the Conservatory Restaurant which set off the whole experience perfectly.

Our Christmas break was lovely. In a beautiful setting.The Meads food was superb in every detail from Christmas eve to Boxing day. Taste and presentation were excellent. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. The serving of Christmas lunch was such a smooth operation with so many covers to cater for. We did mention that the room was lovely but could be updated which they said was in hand. Well done. We would certainly return again. Thoroughly recommended.

As a recommended Norfolk wedding photographer at The Norfolk Mead Hotel, I’m always excited to capture weddings at this beautiful venue. Set in the heart of the Norfolk Broads, it offers a perfect blend of elegance and charm, with stunning gardens, riverside views, and stylish interiors that create endless photo opportunities.

The natural light and scenic surroundings are a dream for capturing romantic, timeless images. The dedicated wedding coordinator and staff are outstanding—warm, professional, and dedicated to making every detail flawless. The food is exceptional, with locally sourced ingredients crafted into delicious, beautifully presented dishes.

A bonus is the newly renovated Spa situated on site which can be used prior or after the wedding to unwind!

I had a half day spa experience with my fiance at the Norfolk Mead spa which was thoroughly enjoyable. The facilities were great especially the hydrotherapy pool and we loved the nap in the relaxation room.
During our half day we also had lunch which was delicious from the flavours to the presentation.
Thanks to all the staff who made it an enjoyable and welcoming visit, big thanks to the manager Faye for looking after us.

Left feeling rather disappointed, we had booked a night away after having been a few times for treatments and then spa use since it opened, this was our first night away child free since having our son two years ago.

The spa was nice as it has been on the previous visits, certainly some room for improvements in areas though, I treated my husband to the beer spa for the second time as he enjoyed the first time we had been to it, but he mentioned this time was totally different to the first time.

I had a facial with Lydia and couldn’t fault it, the treatment was lovely and so was she.

We had the sharing steak for dinner and that was lovely, all the food was including the breakfast.

Sadly we felt the room was a real let down, as we went straight to the spa after checking in we didn’t get to see the room much until after dinner, we noticed there was lots of dust on surfaces and on the picture rail which was clearly missed over a long period of time, under the bed had items of rubbish under it too .

We did mention this on checkout, the girl was lovely about it and said she would get on to housekeeping to rectify this, upon reflection this wasn’t worth what we had over all spent for 19 hours away from home

Absolutely fantastic place for a wedding. From the moment we arrived and booked in, as was staying the night for son & daughter in laws wedding, every moment was fantastic. The staff are so helpful and friendly, particular mention to Danni and Frankie who were absolutely brilliant at organising everything with nothing too much trouble and even tiny details thought of. Food, wow, just wow. Accommodation is beautiful, clean and caters for all you need for a comfortable stay.
