I was guest at a friend's wedding reception here and all I can say is the scenery is amazing.. perfect for outdoor pictures. Inside has a spacious bar area and sitting area which can be transformed very quickly into a dance floor. Would highly recommend for a wedding reception.

Only played golf here. Food and drinks choices are brilliant. Course was little tired but it was at the of the summer. It’s still fantastic and great value for money. Greens need a little more work on the championship course especially the back nine, but again end of summer, it is to be expected. Love playing here every year, always a guaranteed great round and course and facilities are excellent

The Nottinghamshire Golf & Country Club, particularly the Championship course, offers a great golfing experience that’s hard to fault. The layout is decent and keeps you engaged, with a mix of challenging and forgiving holes that make it enjoyable for a wide range of golfers. While it might not be the most dramatic course you’ll play, it’s well-maintained and provides a solid round.

One of the highlights is the clubhouse, which has a fantastic buzz to it. Even midweek during the summer, it’s busy and full of energy, which adds to the welcoming and lively atmosphere. The staff are friendly, and it’s a great spot to grab a drink or a bite after your round.

Overall, The Nottinghamshire’s Championship course is a solid choice for a day out, with its engaging layout and vibrant clubhouse making it a great all-around experience. It’s just shy of perfect, but still well worth a visit!

Should have been good, but wasn't. The stench of foul damp air in my room was awful, but then it's no surprise when it turns out the windows don't open and there's only a passive extraction system for moisture in the bathroom. So where do you think all that wet air goes? Nowhere, it doesn't go anywhere. It stays in the room and stinks it up. It was bad. Even leaving the door open I don't think would help as there's no other opening for the air to flow through the room.

Anyway it spoilt my stay here. Had I not arrived late I would have brought it up with the hotel at the time. I have to assume they are well aware of it. You can't miss it!

Beyond that, yeah fine.

We have been greeted with smiles and warm welcomes. The wedding venue was great and the cleaning, reception, event, catering & barstaff were exemplary. The only let down were beds, to hard, it was like sleeping on an oak plank.

I would stay again only if the beds were more like the Premier inn's.

The two golf courses are a real challenge to golfers of any ability. Both were well presented and well maintained. The hotel and club are lovely and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. My room was not as clean as I expected and the one criticism that I have of the two days I spent there is that there were two large parties booked in and too few staff on the bar or at breakfast, so service was slow and we had to ask that mugs were put out for tea and coffee and had to ask for urns to be refilled. It is good value for money but I was sad that the venue let itself down by not properly staffing the events.

I have photographed several weddings here over the years and was back last weekend. Being situated on a private golf club, the grounds are naturally incredible. The bridal suite was spacious and modern. The staff are very helpful and kind too.

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying a Sunday lunch at The Nottinghamshire Golf and Country Club with two friends, and it was an experience to remember. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly by the wonderful ladies who provided exceptional service throughout our visit.

The highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the roast beef, which was cooked to perfection and accompanied by all the traditional trimmings. The flavours were rich and satisfying, making it a truly hearty and enjoyable main course. For dessert, we indulged in a delicious cheesecake that was the perfect sweet ending to our meal.

After dining, we moved to the terrace to enjoy coffee while overlooking the stunning golf course. The serene and picturesque setting added an extra layer of relaxation to our afternoon, making it a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Overall, our experience at The Nottinghamshire Golf and Country Club was fantastic. The combination of excellent food, attentive service, and a beautiful location made for a memorable Sunday lunch. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delightful dining experience in a lovely setting.
