Although the entrance from the car park wasn’t the most welcoming from then our visit was Very Good. We picked at random as breaking the journey south. First time we’ve stayed in a Provenance Inn. We will be using them in the future |The art work on the staircase and the rooms are super. We had bed and bedding envy and enjoyed the luxurious bathroom. |We didn’t eat in but had a drink in the bar along with friendly locals. |Strongly recommend

Lovely place, the food was very good quality and at a reasonable price. £61 for two courses and drinks for 2 of us. The staff were all very helpful and couldn't do enough to help. Highly recommended.

I recently dined and stayed at OAK TREE using the dine and stay package and was really disappointed with my experience. The service was incredibly slow; we waited far too long for our food and when it did come i got mine at a different time to my partner and when she did get hers it was stone cold , which was frustrating. When we finally asked about our order, the response was unhelpful and dismissive.||To make things worse, the frumpy manager, who was quite large and rather rude, came over to address our concerns. Instead of offering an apology or assistance, she seemed annoyed and condescending and when we checked out she contuied to think she was in the right and ended up throwing are bill on the table and storming of. It was surprising to see such poor customer service from someone in a managerial position.||While I had high hopes for the food, the slow service and the manager’s attitude overshadowed everything. It’s a shame because I wanted to enjoy my meal, but I left feeling frustrated and unwelcome. I won't be returning, and I hope they can improve their service and management approach in the future.||can i say the lady who did the breakfast on her own is amazing the breakfast was 10/10 such a shame the rest of the experience.

Stayed here two night for a Wedding at Cundall two miles away. Ideal location, easy parking, in a beautiful village. The rooms were very clean and spacious. Breakfast was freshly cooked with a good choice of extras. The staff could not have been more helpful and attentive. Five stars but deserved more. Well done The Oak Tree Inn.

Stayed here with work and already booked again. Rooms are immaculate and the food is out of this world..... all the staff are a credit to this establishment & chain. Especially Stephen the chef - who's willing to go the extra mile for the customer ...... amazing service and already booked again and looking forward to another amazing meal .... |So lucky to have found this place 5* without doubt ....

What can I say, exceptional!!! party of seven for a stay at Thirsk races, lovely rooms, great staff (Especially the young lady who worked all day, never stopped smiling) quality food in a lovely setting.
