What a fantastic visit to this beautiful pub. Immediately the staff were super friendly and helpful. Luke the gentlemen that served us was a pleasure and a credit to the pub. The chef went above and beyond to help with my Daughters allergy, he created something for her which wasn’t on the menu.
The food arrived and was absolutely amazing in looks, quantity and taste. The ploughman’s is without doubt the best I’ve ever had any where.
Excellent attentiveness throughout our meal and even some welcomed humour.
Highly recommended this pub to anyone.

We had a lovely visit to The Odd Wheel. The food was outstanding. We had the scotch egg for starters, the mustard was delicious, and the egg itself was cooked lovely. Then we had mixed grills, and every piece on the plate was full of flavour. It tasted fresh and was cooked perfectly. Portion sizes were very generous. We would have been happy to pay the same for less as the quality and flavour is worth it. The staff were very attentive and polite and couldn't fault the place, we will definitely be back to try the roast on a Sunday! The wait time was as expected due to being cooked fresh, so no complaints there either. Also dog friendly!

Amazing food, lovely decor, service wasn’t attentive though, really struggled to get staff attention even though they were behind the bar talking to each other. Overall, enjoyed our visit and would return. Thank you

Don't let the ordinary menu fool you, this is pub grub done exceptionally well.

Highly recommended and I'll definitely go back to see what the Sunday Roast is like, just for research, obviously.

The beat place in Devon for a Sunday roast. I don't go anywhere else for roasts out. Everything on the plate is tasty and fresh.
Make sure you leave room for dessert because the homemade cheesecake is to die for.

WOW! Today I have had one of the best eating out experiences… ever! From Luke’s welcome as we arrived, to the attentive service and great information about drinks. Then we asked about food allergens for our daughter, Luke spoke to the chef. The chef went above and beyond to make sure our daughter had a safe and enjoyable meal.. any allergy parent will know how rare that is and how amazing!
The food was divine. Amazing quality and generous portions.
I cannot thank you all enough. We can’t wait to come again. And we look forward to trying your other venues.

What an experience!
Took my Dad for a belated Father’s Day meal, he said ‘it was the best roast he has ever had’. The food was absolutely amazing. My mouth was exploding with all the beautiful flavour's. We had two platters for 4 adults; however 1 platter could easily feed 3. We also enjoyed sticky toffee pudding, cheesecake and ice cream for puds, equally delicious.
The staff were super friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Our server was Luke and he was very attentive, even over heard my brother mention floaters in his drink, which we weren’t going to mention, but Luke heard us discussing it and changed it straight away.
The facilities was beautifully clean and tidy.
Would 100% recommend a visit.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We had The Odd Wheel recommended to us by a friend and decided to book a birthday dinner — so happy we did! From start to finish, it was an absolutely fantastic experience.

The food was incredible — every dish was full of flavour, beautifully presented, and the portions were generous (come hungry!). Prices were more than reasonable, especially considering the quality. We were blown away by how much we enjoyed everything — our only regret was not having room left for dessert!

The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with such a lovely vibe throughout the evening. Huge shoutout to the amazing staff who made our night extra special — Jessica, Ollie, and Jordana (the names we managed to catch — we know we missed others!) were all so friendly and attentive. You could really feel how much they care.

If you visit (and you absolutely should), don’t miss out on the deluxe hot chocolate — it’s as dreamy as it sounds.

A massive thank you to The Odd Wheel team from Eleanor, Stacey, Colin, and Anne for giving us the best evening. We’ll definitely be back — and next time, we’re saving room for dessert!
