Went for a Christmas dinner with my Sister on Friday.
When we arrived we were greeted by staff who sat us at a large table where we had space to relax. Drinks order was taken and soon after our pre ordered Meal arrived.
It looked very appealing. Extra gravy was delivered in a jug on the side. Two good size servings of cranberry jelly arrived as did a large bowl of seasonal vegetables ( sprouts, red cabbage and a mix of carrot, parsnip and celeriac diced into small squares).
The dinner was excellent, well cooked, nicely presented with good portions of meat and roast potatoes. My only complaint. No stuffing?
We ate every bit.
Then the deserts arrived. I had traditional Christmas pudding but I wish I had chosen the sticky toffee pudding like my sister. Both were good but her choice was amazing!
We had coffee afterwards and the whole bill, including drinks ( all non alcoholic) came to £68 which I thought was good value.
Service was excellent, just the right balance of customer care and attention without being overwhelming.
Really would recommend this venue and I will be going back again.

We met family who lived locally and we stayed at the Old Bank Hotel. Myself, wife and 3 year old in one room. They put a camp bed in for our little boy.||The room was perfect. Modern and cosy and loads of room. With a massive en suite shower. ||The hotel is a pub with rooms above. With it being a Saturday night before Christmas the pub was very busy and it was karaoke night. ||We got back to our room about 8:30. We could hear the music from our room but it didn’t stop any of us falling asleep. And bang on midnight the music was stopped and you couldn’t hear a thing.||Breakfast was so good! Full English, lots of locally sourced food. ||And the staff were amazing. Couldn’t do enough for us. ||Would definitely stay again.

Very friendly hotel staff. Room very clean and tidy boutique style. Super full English breakfast. Good portions. Definitely stay here again. A very good location for Bath and Bristol areas. Lots to see and do in the area. Quaint old English town with very friendly people. Great atmosphere in the hotel.

I have left rooms blank as I have not stayed, but I used their bar & breakfasts.

The staff are highly attentive. The cocktail server is highly knowledgeable.

They have started breakfasts for passers by on the weekends. The food quality was superb.

The full English breakfast was superb, using premium ingredients & condiments. Free refills on all drinks ordered with breakfast.

Go try them out. I will have to stay overnight to providean.full appraisal.

We were in Chipping Sodbury by chance and popped into The Old Bank Hotel for lunch with our small dog. We were made so very welcome. The hotel was beautifully designed and spotlessly clean. Our lunch was superb, everything so fresh. Have never had such a delicious sandwich anywhere, the bread and salad was so fresh. My husband really enjoyed his home made soup. Our dog was given a treat as well. The service was superb. Would highly recommend.

What an absolute gem of a hotel. A little more expensive than others in the area, but it is definitely worth every penny. The room was beautiful and extremely comfortable. It was very well decorated and maintained. High quality bed and fittings. All of the little things had been thought off, with a mini fridge, a fan, toiletries, 2 sets of bath towels. Derek and his staff were delightful, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was cooked fresh by Derek and was delicious, plenty of food and extras if you asked for it. If you are there on a Saturday night they have karaoke and it is great fun just sitting and people watching!

Stopped here a couple of times. |Could be a really nice place. Shame. The guy on the door seemed only to be there to flirt with most of the women. If he wasn’t so preoccupied he might have noticed the drugs that were being passed around the bar, unbelievable it was so blatant too. As for the karaoke it seemed like you only get to have a turn if you are a regular, woman running it was quite rude and dismissive. On another night we thought we would give it another try hoping for a better experience but, the same guy turned us away from door saying that they were full but it didn’t look that busy, guess we weren’t his type. Could be such a nice place, maybe be a change of staff could help, no one looked happy working there.
