We have just spent 2 nights at this charming family run b&b.||Our room (room 1) was spacious and very sunny with a roomy walk in shower. Very comfortable, and clean. The bed was fab, I actually has my best nights sleep here in 12 nights away, and that really is a compliment from a generally poor sleeper. ☺ ||So handy to have on site parking. The b&b is so well located in the village. Lovely options for drinks and eats. Great walks from the doorstep. The Village is extremely well connected by public transport.||The absolute highlight was the breakfast. Never, ever have we seen such a beautiful and varied fruit selection, all freshly and lovingly sliced up. Cooked options were amazing. Top quality ingredients and perfectly cooked.||I very much doubt that you will find better value for money in West Lulworth. We would definitely book again if staying in the area.

My cousin and I just stayed here for 2 nights and really enjoyed it. The location was perfect- you can easily walk into the town for the restaurants or hiking, and there is a store quite close for basic groceries and toiletries. The rooms were spacious and clean, and there is even a shared kitchenette available to use. What we liked best of all was the included breakfast. High quality and fresh food was a great start to our day. Thank you to Sarah and her parents for the hospitality and lovely conversations!

I Visited Lulworth Cove for the first time with my family and The Old Barn was the perfect choice for all of us to stay in for our weekend trip. Sara and her parents are enjoyable hosts with great advice for trip options and they make a mean English breakfast.
Each bedroom ( as we took up all of them) were clean, well kept, comfortable and had great views of the property. We loved sitting in the garden and appreciated how accessible everything is. We will be recommending this authentic, warm and quaint B&B to everyone who plans on making a visit here. Highly
Recommended!

Such a hidden gem in the very touristy Lulworth cove area. First of all, Sarah and her family are really great hosts and we had a great time chatting with her and her lovely mom. Sarah was reachable anytime via calls/messages when we had any questions.

The room was astonishingly furnished and decorated and we had a very comfortable stay for two nights.

The breakfast was top notch with an exquisite array of fruits and a traditional English breakfast and they were kind enough to accommodate our food preferences. You wouldn’t get breakfasts like this in places where you pay extra for the food.

Overall, highly highly recommend this place if you want to relax and enjoy the surroundings in a very accessible location to Lulworth cove and Durdle door.

My wife & I keep returning to the Old Barn B&B as it's such a fantastic place to stay. Room number 3 is a large room with a very comfortable double bed, a settee, 2 chairs & a sideboard with a remote controlled TV. It's ensuite with a bath/shower & there is a fridge in the cupboard in the room plus a kettle for making tea or coffee which is also supplied. There is off street parking & the breakfast menu will cater for most people, I tend to have the full English breakfast which sets me up for the day. The B&B is located in West Lulworth & there is a very nice pub, The Castle Inn, just up the road for our evening meal, we have never had a bad meal from there. Lulworth Cove is within easy walking distance & for those a bit more energetic Durdle Door is not too far away. The owners are very welcoming & can't do enough to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We will definitely be returning again in the future.

We had a really great stay at the old barn. We arrived after a rainy hike on the South West Coast Path and Sarah and her parents were really accommodating.
The room was nice and spacious and everything was clean.
We felt very comfortable. The whole house had a great atmosphere, with bookshelves in various corners.
There was a small kitchenette with a microwave and plates.
The breakfast was awesome. A lot of fresh fruit, cereals, toast etc. and fresh made pancakes. Sarah made a great vegetarian and vegan breakfast.
Lulworth cove is a 10 minute walk and offers beautiful views. We would definitely stay again at the old barn.

In W. Lulworth, within easy walking distance from the Cove and the gorgeous, striking coastal scenery (boy, what scenery). Sarah was very responsive on WhatsApp in answering all questions from prior to booking right up until our arrival.

We had the room that overlooked the garden (and up the hillside, including the beautiful architecture of the town church), which was really pleasant to wake up to each morning. The room had ample space (including a full couch), as did the bathroom. Towel warmer was connected to central heating and was not warm during our stay mid-Sept. Appreciated the bright lighting of bedside lamps, which made for cheerful (and functional) evenings. The shared partial kitchen (freezer, frig, microwave & utensils) provided easy ways to make sandwiches - although we discovered there were plenty of take-out options in the vicinity, including homemade ice cream.

The proprietors took great pride in the healthy (and full) breakfast options, and we appreciated the fresh fruits and their accommodation for strong coffee, in addition to the full English. Service at breakfast was always cheerful and attentive.

The hike to the Fossil Forest side (east) of the Lulworth Cove looked to be a pretty vertical endeavor (may have involved stairs - we didn't have time to cover). The hike to Durdle Door (west) was medium challenging (not to us), involving some climbs. But Bat Hat (beyond Durdle Door - the last photo in the below sequence) involved a couple hazardous ascents (reasonably long stretches that reached almost 30° slope) and, on the return even more so for the descent. Strongly recommend high traction boots & hiking poles.

I include some photos of lovely thatched roof houses along the road down to the Cove. Sorry - no photos of the Old Barn or the rooms - the inn did a fine job on their website.

Note that the stretch of coast between Lulworth and Kimmeridge Beach is army firing range and closed to the public except weekends and certain holidays. We heard (probably not live) rounds being shot off continuously while on our walks.

The restaurants nearby were worthy, no need to drive elsewhere. This was a nice, self-contained village that had a small convenience store. Many (friendly) dogs on the scenic walks and in restaurants. Friendly and welcoming spot.

This is a charming B&B, elevated by a 5 star breakfast of the very best quality and ethically sourced ingredients, with golden touches like fresh peonies on the breakfast table and candle light by the fresh fruit! Magical.
The hosts are informative and happy to share their local knowledge.
Room 1 is great value for money, clean and spacious. What's more, you can walk to wonderful places and experience the beauty of this special area.
Thanks Sarah and family for making our stay so enjoyable! Kiran & Marcin
