My niece's wedding was held here. Superb. Lovely, well equipped room with large extremely comfortable bed. Fantastic breakfasts. Our wedding meal was fabulous, I had the prawn salad followed by the beef which was sublime. Finished with a lovely cheeseboard and then a fresh, delicious buffet later on. Compliments to the chef. The service was attentive and efficient. A beautiful event. Thank you to all involved.

We hired out part of the garden area for our wedding celebrations in early June and it was a fantastic experience.

From the first email, to the final goodbye, the process was smooth and the communication excellent. The pricing was incredible value too!

I stayed Friday - Sunday, with the wedding on Saturday. We had hoped for a BBQ for our guests, but the weather had other plans and rained on the BBQ! No worries though because the kitchen was used and there was plenty of food to go round. Guests managed to get through over 80 pints, many bottles of prosecco, and lots more spirits and a lovely time was had by all!

Particular thanks to Hannah and Sabrina for being excellent points of contact and worming so hard to make the night great.

Breakfast both mornings was great too. Can't wait to come back for the highly regarded Sunday lunch soon!

Lovely hotel, very pleasant staff. Rooms clean and tidy with good facilities, and the food was tasty and well cooked with a good selection - breakfast and dinner. |My one complaint is that the room was extremely noisy. I understand that it has been an exceptionally warm few days and apparently the industrial fan (air conditioner) has to be on night and day, but my WORD it was noisy!|I have suggested that the hotel provide ear-plugs and this may be taken up! I bought mine from Boots in the town!!

We had a wonderful meal at the Old Cannon. It was on a very busy Saturday evening and one would have expected the service to be slow but our waiter was attentive, polite and friendly. The food which could be described as plain "British" food was delicious. I had a chicken and tarragon pie and my partner had brisket. We were both very pleased with our choices

We were at the Old Cannon Brewery on quiz night so it was quite busy. The staff were efficient and friendly and service was good.
My husband chose the chicken burger and K had the braised brisket. Having tasted it he agreed that I'd made the better choice, although his burger was very good.
I assume the beer was also very good as he managed 3 pints.
The quiz was well organised but we didn't win.
The only downside to the pub/restaurant is the lack of parking. Luckily we were staying nearby so we could walk there.

My partner and I just returned home from a great Sunday night stay. Took advantage of the Sunday special, amazing roast dinner with beers, comfortable room and delicious cooked breakfast. Excellent value at £120.
Friendly and attentive staff, great beers brewed on site. Highly recommend! 😊

This is a real find, being a quirky brewery cum hotel cum pub cum restaurant. The people are pretty special too. Didn't stay in the rooms but did have a beer which was superb and the sausage rolls are yum. We will be back.

We had a lovely room which was extremely clean and very comfortable. The location was excellent - about 3 minutes walk from town. Breakfast was fantastic. I liked the onsite brewery and tried the various ales they make which was interesting. Overall I found this place excellent and would highly recommend it
