Lovely B and B in central Southwell, very clean and well-furnished courtyard room. Easy access and off road parking. Becs was a brilliant host, very welcoming and informative. Super communication before the visit and throughout. Delicious breakfast in the conservatory overlooking the gardens. Highly recommended place to stay for visits to Southwell! Some great restaurants, bars, shops and attractions such as the Workhouse and Minster to enjoy.

My husband & I have just stayed here for 3 nights in the courtyard cottage. |Beccy the host is friendly & nothing is too much trouble. The breakfasts are amazing & set us up for the day. The room itself was extremely clean & comfortable with a fabulous large shower. A short walk takes you to a variety of Eateries. The minster is a short distance away & well worth a visit. I can highly recommend a stay here if visiting the area.

This was absolutely fantastic. After 6.5 weeks travelling around Italy and Paris and booked into mostly sub-standard accommodation by our travel agent, I booked The Old Forge myself and it was absolutely wonderful. Our room was huge and spotlessly clean. It was a perfect end to our very busy holiday. |Becs our hostess went above and beyond organising yellow roses as a surprise for my daughters birthday. |Southwell is a lovely village, and I would recommend staying here. Definitely 5 stars. |Thankyou Becs

A beautiful bolt hole in the centre of Southwell. Facilities were fantastic. Fresh flowers were unexpected and delightful.||Becs is a superb host and her wonderful home cooked quality breakfast in the conservatory set us up for the day.||We will definitely be returning.

Fantastic b&b hosted By Beccy. We stayed in the external cottage, which was clean, cosy & comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble & we have no problem in recommending here if you are visiting Southwell. We loved it so much that we have booked to return later in the year.

Everything about our 3-night stay at the Old Forge oozed quality, care and fun! From the warmest of Welcomes from Becs to the attention to detail in the beautiful breakfasts and local advice, to marking my husband's birthday and rescuing us at midnight from a wedding party when a taxi let us down last minute. ||Southwell is a charming market town with highlights for us (apart from staying at the Old Forge) being the Minster, the French lunchtime bistro, National Trust Workhouse experience, and the Final Whistle rea-ale pub (former rail station). Thank you Becs - we loved our stay!

We stayed here while visiting an event at the Minster, ideally located in the centre of the town. With an amazing host that makes you feel welcomed and want for nothing. The room was clean and fully equipped with what we needed, and the parking inside was a bonus.|Highly recommend
